Sweet potato french fries are quite good, but I can't eat as many of them in a row as I can with regular fries.

I used to love mashed potatoes but now I know there is no good way to cook or eat them, because those "spuds" are the cause of all degeneracy and the true source for the decline of the Irish, my PEOPLE! Well, partially, since I'm a third generation American with several other European ethnic backgrounds, but still. The thought that some of my Italian ancestors probably also ate gnocchi just makes me sick. PUKE! Ew. Gross. It's time to boycott, divest and sanction the potato once and for all. Except sweet potatoes. I like them.

I just moved back to Germany after being absent for almost two decades. I have started cooking a lot, and I noticed that German potatoes are much better for cooking than American or Korean ones. The German potatoes don't start falling apart if you boil them for a long time. This allows me to really boil the salt into the potatoes, making even just plain potatoes a delicious meal.
