They do. What all cats want for Christmas is a box or several boxes. Boxes with shrimp and catnip in them are of course preferred.

Stupid cat, has one favourite toy that came free in a box of something... a tiny spiky rubber ball, it's about the only thing she will chase and play with. I've tried buying other similar looking spiky rubber balls*, but no... that's the only one she wants

(*I'm worried that the favourite version may become permanently lost, it is only about 20mm size so gets temporarily lost under things quite frequently)

Have you tried to rub the new ones with catnip? Sometimes it helps.

But in end most cat toys didn't get lost, they are only hidden behind the fridge or other things.^^

Lily refuses to play with toys. I've bought her dozens and she has never been interested in a single one of them. She prefers to go outside and hunt real animals. She brought me a massive vole last night. That was fun to wake up to.

Last one I had was Merry (named after Meriadoc Brandybuck) and he died few days before of my father in 2018.. what a lovely dog he was, he was not moving farther than a meter from my father (who was disabled), they passed away side by side, I'm sure he was waiting for him at the doorway, on the other side.

My aunt had had one black-brown colored with the name Kessie. But she was really greedy and found a way to get the unlocked food on the highest table.
