    Hello everyone! Don't mind me, I'm just posting finds related to the Scordisci in hopes of seeing one or two units in the near future. Carry on with your daily affairs.

    1. From the Ruma county museum - I have 30ish images. These are the nicest. Will update with info as soon as I get it.

    Swords, spears, a scabbard and a scabbard fragment, an umbo.

    3. Celtic silver tetradrachm of the Turnierreiter type 2 c. BC - one of a hoard of at least 15 such coins recently found 'on the Danube' in Serbia. The hoard was apparently illegally excavated and the coins were individually sold online.

    Disclaimer - there is a second dating that puts this last spear into the earlier Hallstatt period. I am having trouble believing it. It could be just a documenting error. Anyhow, I leave it to wiser heads.

    3. Montefortino style helmet, dated to 2nd or 1st century BC. Found at Vrankamen. Kept at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    I remember the Scordisci curved swords unit from EB1. I'm still looking for those curved swords in archaeological publications and museum images. I found lots of sica knives, though.

    Maybe not Scordisci but found in Taurisci context, from Slovenia. It is a native thing.

    One thing I noticed - The swords from the papers are curved cutting swords. The Scordisci unit from EB1 had straight cutting swords. I wonder where the team got those...

    Curved swords were known in Balkan region from early iron age. Such weapons have wide chronology and many different types.
