Our modeler is on a tunic making spree, these tunics are meant to represent the type we see in art from Bohemia in the mid 11th century:

And this is the final version of the base norman tunic (tunic length and hem decorations will play a big part in determining which culture uses which tunic model):

Hello,
Beautiful work!
Do you have an approximative date of a first release?
Probably sometime in 2021, cant even say when lol
We want the whole thing to just be very polished and finished product.
Right now we're adding in 26 playable factions with full family trees and about 40 years worth of invasion/rebellion scripts so full stacks will spawn in and go to war through out the campaign. Also still working on the unit rosters (they are mostly done, along with a solid battle balance mod) adding in new geographically based units. And of course we need to spend time balancing all the elements in the campaign. Bonsai is also creating new UI for all this new content.
Our modeller and texturer are pretty much totally overhauling the tunics and shields right now. And then after that we have to do a fair amount of custom models and textures for the muslim, byzantine, pecheneg, magyar and celt geographical units. Once that is all done I need to personally go through each unit vmd to make sure they are all perfect.
We also want to edit the settlements to look more 11th century. Custom or imported settlement buildings will probably be the last thing we add in but its something we want before we release anything.
So you can see we have good amount of stuff to add in before it will be releasable. Thankfully we have a pretty amazing team. Everyone involved is very skilled and we have great synergy thanks to our small size. In the end its all going to look and play great and will be well worth the wait.
In the meantime I'll keep posting wip updates to whet your appetites

I feel like custom buildings will be difficult. Not many mods have managed to do it. I'd rather see a release before custom settlements.
Ok thank you for your work!
Its really not that hard, we'll just be replacing certain buildings in the settlements. For the most part they look alright
thought about making a seperate customs battle release?
Its a possibility, were working on the campaign and producing all the assets for the units at the same time so they will both probably be done at the same time
Amazing units!

We havent done any modding with the settlements yet, when we get to that there are a couple different options we are going to look into.
How much of the settlements are modded really just depends on what we are capable of doing and what we can learn.
As of right now what we do have though is culturally different settlements.
Warlike cultures like the Normans will have stronghold type settlements with a keep on a hill.
The carolingian based cultures will have the larger urban type settlements.
So there will be noticeable difference when you play the campaign.
They will probably the use the same as the carolingians
Hey guys!
