    So, another interesting competition it would seem, with run-off votes and everything! It seems this is the new norm around these halls, but I must say, I like it! It shows everyone is getting some love, which is as it should be

    Sorry but I must draw a line and this time, no chance and no cutting one hand to save the other. I didn't vote this time because both stories have been absolutely out of this world (for me)! If I choose the "non-weird" ë character, I love the story in itself and the imagination around the world. I vote for the "non-britton" brit, I just love the story and the era it is situated... and he might like TNS if he really is what he says he is! So, since none of you are like Derc and are willing to offer gigantic pile of money for the vote (like he did for newcomer of the year!), sorry, but no vote from me.

    You can throw tomatoes, insults, all to your hearth's content at me, I don't care!

    My oh my, a tie-break? What a treat to 1v1 a real Dragon. A glorious battle it shall be! Who will win: one Elf-boi or one friendly Dragon?

    Good luck Welsh Dragon!

    @JB2C Thanks for the compliment.

    While I congratulate both, Turk and Welsh, and I like both of these AARs despite rarely or never having commented on them (shame on me on the latter case), I do need to ask the question why Cookiegod isn't #1? Yeah, I get it, he's a friggin' noob, but yet he didn't outmatch me in 'Noob of the year 2019' and as far as I can see, the votes for him are legitimate?

    I think Cook is number 1, as it seems this vote is for places 2 and 3. Cna't be sure though...

    As Kilo11 said, this is a tie-break for second place. (The thread title and heading in the OP are intended as a clue. )

    Oh my, I totally misread the title. Wait, so that means there are runs for second places? I didn't notice that either. There's a reason I'm noob of the year after all.

    I need some vacation. My apologies.
    However, Cookie winning #1 sounds even more wrong.

    @JB2C Thanks for the compliment.
    I too am honoured to have such a worthy competitor. Good luck my friend!

    I'm also amused that we have a contest between a Brit writing an ancient Belgian, vs a Belgian writing in a fantasy British setting!

    And thank you everyone for the compliments. I'm glad to hear people continue to enjoy these stories.

    All the Best,

    Welsh Dragon.

    I didn't even consider that. It is indeed quirky. Surely it was meant to be, a fated encounter.
