The general rule of thought regarding Hillary Clinton in American politics today is that she is both the most loved and the most hated US politician. Regardless of one's personal views of her politics (and I oppose most of them), that mere fact alone should be enough to warrant not voting for her. Thanks to GW, American politics is more polarized than it has been in recent memory. The last thing we need is a president who will polarize things even more.

Despite his inexperience, I'd take Obama over Hillary any day. And hell, a McCain/Obama ticket would make me a happy, happy man (even if it'll never happen).

As a Democrat: No, no, and no.

The Republicans couldn't have chosen a better Democratic candidate with which they could use to hold onto the Presidency in '08.

    More than Bush?
    I doubt it.

In any case she isn't the right person for the job.
And nobody who actually gets a chance at the presidency is.
I'm sure everybody knows at least 10 people amongst their relatives and friends who would make better presidents than any of the candidates.

Except maybe for that Obama dude, haven't heard much about him but haven't heard anything bad either.

Bush is generally hated. He has very few supporters anymore. In terms of being a polarizing figure, the current Hillary is much more so than the current Bush.

Was that who Colbert was talking about? [edit: no, it was McCain, I checked...stop confusing me]
I had not yet heard about him at the time.

Also did you know Obama is just one letter away from Osama?
Apparently stuff like that really count in American politics.

I said yes because I think she would do fine. Best? Not by a long shot, but at least she has balls(figurative of course ). Something I think too many Democrats lack.

If the Dems nominate her to run in '08, I will lose what little faith I have left in that party.

I think hillary would be a fine president, really, people exaggerate her when they say she is a polarizing figure. Shes not really the type of person you need to "love or hate" shes much more moderate and reasonable than that. I think she'd be a good president, but her presidency will cause civil strife just like her husbands presidency did. The GOP hates the clintons, to me thats reason enough for the dem party to not put a clinton as the frontrunner anymore.

But a hillary + clinton duo in the white house would be awesome imo.

Obama is inexperienced, it would take Karl Rove to get obama into office methinks....

With the upswing in the younger votes I don't think she can pull it off. I know a lot of younger people, my self included, think she is an out right bich and that can't help the whole being president thing. She also dosen't seem to have it together you know? I think if it came to Clinton I would have to vote Republican, or may be green or some crazey party like them.

Why? So many have such low opinions of her, yet I never see any reasoning.

I think I remember her saying sth against PC games, that could be a reason.
Then again she is just a puny woman. Pffff

oh yes, her and lieberman spearheaded the "think of the poor children!" campaign against video games. Quite the douche move, it all adds onto the perception of her being seen as weak, ineffectual and largely inconsequential. Americans will vote democrat when they see a democratic candidate with as much cojones as Bush, Hillary doesnt really give people that perception. Shes seen as indecisive and prone to waffling. your cliche "flip flopper" democrat...
