Wasn't the 8.8 update or 8.7 update resolving the recruitment bug for Prussia?
With 8.8 I still get this bug but I also play with the Bran Mac Born submod, maybe that's the issue?
here is an screenshot of the bug

I've got a rather bizarre issue. At least that's what it seems to me. Fantastic mod by the way. I was playing happily as Great Britain and had reached Early August 1806 in the Grand Campaign. However when I tried to load this I got a CTD. I checked everything, tried loading from the Launcher, Mod Manager, and Steam. All failed. Tried loading some saved games. Failed also. Was about to uninstall and start again when I decided (without uninstalling anything) to start a new Grand Campaign again as Great Britain. Lo and behold it allowed me to do this. Next I tried the Peninsular Campaign. Again it allowed me to play this. Same with the Ottoman Campaign. Now surely the data it uses for the Grand Campaign is the same as the data I was originally using which CTD? Puzzled I am. Help I need. Thanks.
This can happen if you start a campaign game with v8.7, save the games and upgrade to v8.8. The newer updates are generally not compatible with the older versions due to changes in the data base files. The NTW3 v8.9 mod update did not change any campaign files from the v8.8 campaign update (only file changes were to the Classic Battle mod). Hope this helps.
just noticed this bug... dutch shakos bug.

No way to start a coalition campaign (default & Ottoman). The game start loading for few seconds & then shut down. Battles are working.
I reinstalled the mod twice, same result every times. I even deleted the Preference file & restored vanilla.

The ntw vanilla game may not be installed properly or you have other mods that are causing conflicts, (some mods overwrite the original game files, ours does not).
Remove any other ntw mods in your Napoleon Total War folders. Open the NTW3 desktop launcher and select "Restore Vanilla" it will launch the ntw vanilla game. Check the vanilla campaign to insure its's working correctly. If not you will have to re-install the original ntw vanilla game.

Hi all, I made the installation of the mod as recommended, but when I am will check the main campaign, it said that I have the 8.2 Campaign, not the 8.9. What Should I do?
(I can't edit my post...) I found the problem: Bran Mac Born's sub-mod. The game now start correctly without this sub-mod.

Hi, I’ve been enjoying this mod for a while now, battles and campaign alike.
However, playing campaign, every time I reached late game I started experiencing systematic CTDs, didn’t figure out why at first.
Then I noticed that every time I played a battle where my rank 6 units WOULD reach rank 7, the game crashed to desktop.
So, I did some tests using save parser and the ESF editor to manually change the rank of units in my army, and I can confirm that setting the value to 7 or higher made the game crash to desktop when selecting the army containing such units. Doing the same in the vanilla campaign works fine. I'm happy I finally figured out what was causing my crashes, and I hope someone here can give me a solution.
Here's an example where my game crashes

There was a question about installing mods because I saw two videos where the installation was explained differently in the videos, you need to load two launcher files 8.7 and archive 8.8 in another video, you do not need to install those two files. How to do it correctly?
In the 1805 European & Ottoman mods the campaign difficulty is Normal and battle Hard. The Peninsula campaign difficultly settings are recommended for Very Hard?
Please explain

I rewrote your question so its a little easier to understand, please correct me if it's misstated. The Peninsula campaign is designed for Multi-Player games and is based on the current version of the NTW3 Classic Battle mod using its stats, uniforms and units. The 1805 European & Ottoman campaigns are based on an earlier version of the NTW3 battle mod. The higher difficulty settings give a larger advantage to the CAI in the campaign settings and higher morale value for the AI units. Settings for Single Player games might do better at the HARD level.
More info on installing the NTW3 mod is on our NTW3 Discord site: https://www.twcenter.net/forums/show...scord-server-!
