Even if we look only on the hospitalisation rate the antivaxxers are blocking 70-90 % of the intensive care units . Other sick, patients must wait for necessary operations because of the antivaxxers. This is inacceptable.

Anyway mass vaccinisations were the key to controll diseases in the past and will stop this one too.

75 % of all covid19 infections are caused by unvaccinated people (Humboldt university Berlin).

The unvaccinated pay into the system just like everyone else and deserve the same care. If hospitals are unable to deal with the numbers they should increase their capacity.
Obese people also put a disproportionate strain on medical care, yet no one is talking about mandating them a diet.

Obesity can't be largely prevented by a simple series of injections. If it could be, we'd probably be having that conversation. Instead, obesity has a complex set of causes that cover everything from personality to genetics to socio economic factors to education to marketing etc etc. But whataboutery aside...

Why don't they just buy more money? Jokes aside you know how triage works.

Yes we are, but the sugar lobby in Australia, as well as the US, and the other carb peddlers like McD etc have amazing clout.

I understand there's an idiot fringe "fat pride/no fat shaming " element, but don't credit them with the power to stop the many sensible people in healthcare trying to communicate the diet problems in the West for the last half a century.

Vaccinated and also vaccinated + boostered people are to 90 % protected against Omicron.

It's not "whataboutery" when obesity is one of the most prevalent C19 risk factors. Almost 80% of those hospitalized with C19 in the US were overweight. Even so, the broader point is being missed. An individual's health is always the sum total of their lifestyle/personal choices, (diet, drinking, smoking, drug use, exercise etc.). Choosing to be vaccinated (or not) is no different.

And yet of the 4 confirmed cases 3 were fully vaccinated+boostered, the fourth was vaccinated with Astrazeneca. So 100% of the known Omicron cases in Israel are vaccinated, 75% of those also boostered.

The point was not missed. It was dismissed.

Having only a few cases with Omicron in Israel is not a valid data point. Any sensible statistician would simply ignore such data. All could be vaccinated or all could be unvaccinated. We're talking about 4 people so far.

And yet it shows that it's vaccinated people going abroad who bring new varients, not the unvaccinated . Curious.

It has to be explained why vaccination status should determine the availability of care and the other lifestyle/personal choices (many of which are both aggravating factors for C19 and a cause of serious illness in and of themselves) should not.

It's screwing up my vacation plans, and I haven't been out of the country for two years.

On the other hand, I reinvested that in an OLED television.

The problem, specifically, with the new developments is that apparently the pharmaceuticals have figured out the perfect profitability scheme, in that the electorate is going to need a constant stream of boosters to combat new mutations of this disease, and that they didn't need their marketing departments to alarm consumers with minor ailments.

Or get them hooked on opioids.

The way this is going, it probably will come down to herd immunity.

It's people who travel between countries that bring new variants. There is no vaccinated/unvaccinated distinction. Unvaccinated are not some group incapable of transmitting new variants to other countries.

No, they're just incapable of travelling to other countries in a lot of cases.

Perhaps, but we might also take a look at how many countries have a vaccine requirement for entry, particularly for non-citizens. In the case of Israel, this website says that the Israeli government requires the COVID vaccine for entry currently.

Nope. Many countries do allow travelers with a negative PCR test taken within a few days of travel.

See above. In Israel's case, they not only require vaccination but PCR test as well. In fact, PCR comes first. No need to look at random websites. Here is the one from Israeli ministry of health. Yet, again, not allowing unvaccinated from travel would not, does not, change the fact that carrying variants between countries is not something special to vaccinated.

I have to say I really enjoy the delicious hypocrisy of neoliberal cultists who are trying to rationalize vaccine's alleged effectiveness and rising case numbers despite the fact that its spread by predominantly vaccinated population. This is the pandemic of the vaccinated and Big Pharma is to blame.

This is as stupid as pointing out that most car accident fatalities happen to those that wear seatbelts...

If a car company makes a vehicle with seat belts not working it would have to recall every vehicle with that flaw or face a massive wave of lawsuits and fines. Thanks for proving my point about Big Pharma being the main culprit behind the Biden administration's failure to contain the virus.

Sigh... Seat belts do fail. In fact, at a much larger rate than you could guess (with 3 million failures and 40 thousands deaths cited online). No, we do not recall every single one of them. If this somehow proved what you're saying there than we're living in alternative universes where things like logic and facts work differently.
