Current status:

Garnier - Emperor
Mercja - Legio II, Legio V
Jegui - XIV Legion, Octavianus' auxiliary legion, Hostilitus auxiliary legion
Tiberius - Legio VIII, Legio XXIV, 6 Ships near sicily, 2 spies

Berserkerblitz - Waiting for legions to become available
Atticus - Temporarily not playing

*** Guidlines ***

We are playing by the houserules.

Always exterminate any city to take, and destroy all buildings that are not roman culture.

More legions will be recruited and command given as Rome sees fit. Expect reinforcements to come.

There are replacements in the fort on the front that can be used by the other three legions, first come first serve. But if you dont have an empty slot for the men, dont take them. Use mercenaries to fill empty slots in legions, but the emperor frowns on overuse of mercenaries, so disband them and replace them with romans when they are available from the fort.

Brutus' Rebels will be left alone until Brutus dies, unless some rash general attacks them sooner. If they are beaten, there will be glory and honour, if that general fails, he will be sorely disgraced.

Remember that you need to activate the garrison script, especially if you start to besiege a city. And never attack with just a spy and no rams/ladders/towers. You NEED to have at least ONE piece of siege equipment to assault. This means you cant attack without waiting 1 turn for the garrison to fill up. If you desire Rome to send onagers to support you if you are fighting lots of assaults, send a runner and the emperor will decide if you are worthy. ;p

*** ORDERS 2-05-07 ***

Hostilitus' Legion is to protect the coast against Gaul, but not to attack the city of Nicea.

Octavianus' Legion is to defend the border against Gaul near Darantasia (losing Darantasia means you have to retake it).

Legio XIV is to ward off Gaulic invasions as the commander sees fit.

Legio II and V are to protect Patavium and Mediolanum and fight Germania, taking Tergeste.

Legio VIII and XXIV are to attempt to conquer sicily. The two spies are attached to this command. Also, there is a half stack of replacement auxilia that are attached to replace losses.

Ok I am going to send the game on to Mercja now. The turn order will be:

Mercja
Jegui
Tiberius * (once the two legions are ready for him)
Garnier

So you will be expected to send the savegame to the person below you on the list. Jegui, dont send it to tiberius this coming turn.
And remember everyone, right before doing your turn, to check the orders.

Garnier am I to leave Legio II in Mediolanum until further notice? I will send Jegui the file tonight.

You may do as you choose with your legions, although if you lose a city, you will be tasked with retaking it, and if you fail, you will be disgraced. I am responsible however, for bringing a governor and garrison to the city. If this isnt enough though, you can split off men from your legions to compliment the garrison, simply to avoid the risk of a rebellion.

PS- can I move legio XIV to support Octavianus' Legion if it gets besieged by several stacks? I'd leave a couple of units in the northen border fort.

Hey guys why don't we do as we wish with our legions... I mean we are generals in command of our units right? And even if the emperor decides against our current operations he can just suggest we do otherwise. This is how it was in ancient Rome.

Whats the worst that could happen, the emperor could always correct our actions, and if we do not obey his orders after several turns then command of our legion can be given to someone else.

But to be honest, when legio II gets relieved by a governor and garrison, they will be back out expanding the empire.

So jegui, move your legions where you want them, if they are not where the emperor wants them then you could relocate them next turn.

You CAN do whatever you want with your men really. I can throw in some advice here and there, but like mercja said, you're the generals.

Sorry all, I have been out of town for a few days and I will get the savegame out tonight and onto jegui.

Ok as of now Legio V has taken Patavium for the republic. Although they need a new general (due to a well placed lucky arrow from the FORRESTER WARBAND) the legion is still in good spirits.

Tiberius, you have to activate the script at the start of your turn, before you move next to the city. You must not have done this because when I hit end turn, no garrison appears.

Redo your turn, this time with the script and then send the savegame to me.

Just wondering how ya'll are doing....how about some pictures?

I'm thinking about joining you guys cuz I like the concept...a Senate and some generals roaming around controlling their legions.

I'm just going to send straight to jegui, since all I am doing is holding down two cities. The emporer could be awesome and give me garrison so I could move north of patavium to see what is going on
