Your patience is mighty.
dear devs, while enjoying my campaign as gallic-roman empire just after our last series of victories against just another wave of frankish stacks, my troops needed some new armour....so our emperor spend them splendid new stuff, motivation for our next battles....some cities growin just to fast and the agents are spawing to many agents for my taste, so i increased their costs...but its a real fun, thank you all for your great dedication and work....
new_equickment
...not that i know, just picked stuff from various reenactment sides and retextured my legionaries....but my foes will get some polishing too...by the way, the often script stuff during the loading round is troubling me a bit, as all my settlements switched to auto government, which causes unrest....also frankish stacks spawned several times on the spot near colonia augustina?? if remember correct, but rebels often appearing there too, so i get a ctd
Yes, there is an aspect of the script where certain factions gain certain cities. The outcome seems to cuase a switch to auto governing of your cities. This should only happen a few times during the course of the campaign. What are the rebels that appear? Are they roman rebels? Which campaign are you playing?
1. about so many cataphract : original Aurelian's cav legion was decimated by war with Roman rebels & Goths.
so i have to replenish Aurelian's army with more strong force. so i made 1st Royal Cataphrat legion.
2. about where is your infantry : well marcus probus' 7th legion took a part of that position.
like this
and marcus probus' decimated legion is going back home to replenish and find a new legatus!
for now, i have only 1 cataphract legion. their will be more cav legions like aux cav legion like Dalmatii cav legion. or samartian horse archers legion for special purpose.
and there will be 1/10 cav legions in whole legions in the future..
currently, other legions like this.
3. about not historical : well... i made my history of Aurelian
my Aurelian reform roman army. more large and efficient in every way(personally).
4. why there are so many armies? : well i edited Unit_ file to reduce upkeep & recruitment costs to 1/10. [don't worry about the bankrupt or money. incomes will be decrease once i complete my roman army.]
cause i feel lack in numbers in every total war series.
even from the newest one.
i always asked myself, why roman cohortes are not 500 men? i even feel lame from 1st cohortes number as 240 men.[from other mods].
so i made reform my total war myself.
i improved legio system like modern corps.
but their[legion] numbers are fewer.
so i made 1 corps consist 8 legions & 8 auxiliary legions[approximately 20000 men] + 1 cav legion or native legions.[it depands on various regions]
5. and i want you ask this question for you.
what do you think of full legion or cav legion in this mod? as historically?
can you tell me the manuel for full legion?
ex) it contains 3 aux cav 2 promoti cav 5 legionary cohortes 3 archers etc..
Other than money (not an object in his campaign since he modded the prices), there's really nothing preventing you from massing as many cataphracts as you can push out on this engine. Well maybe turn times...

Ave,
This is my 260 WRE campaign so far. The year is 285 i am wainting for the diocletian reform.
After a long war finally managed to erase the ever annoying berbers in north africa. They are not a threat in battles because their troops are mostly light and no match with an upgraded legion+crossbow+heavy cavalry combo but they were always spawning in countless numbers so i decided to erase them.
Finally put the gallic rebels in the british cage and signed a peace treaty with them. I will deal with them later. They have a lot of vigiles urbani stack +_+.
Franks betrayed me but the limes is secured they are no threat to me. But they still spawn inside my territory when get a message about reinforcements :/ strange.
Alamanni is no more. German hordes are easy to break if they dont have generals. Marcomanni tried to backstab me but my veteran and pannonian legions decimated them also captured some of their cities to punish them. Quadi are irrelevant.
Iazyges was a real threat but i pulled their teeth in siege battles and they are no more. Also i have 2 bribed iazyges general.
The goth did harakiri in the steppes dont know what happened but only few half stacks reached my borders and i terminated them.
Heruli were a pain in the ass. Poor dacian legions couldnt handle them so i made heruli hunter alan horse archers+goth lancer+auxilia ala stacks and finally erased them.
Now i am in a trench warfare with the armernians and sassanids and lakhmids. They have endless stacks and their armor and weapons are also upgraded. Not to mention how hard to kill sassanid generals...I have to boost palmyrean economy and military because they help them against these foes.
My faction leader adopted by Aurelianus. Severus family rise again
Bagaudae revolt is happening right now so my western legions are not bored.
The sassanid front is a mess
My sassanid killer stack with great commander Phazinamos the Iazyg
I started the game at Hard/medium battles but now its very easy. My income after a turn is almost 400k. I never used money cheat and i have more than 10M. I bribe any army now without hesitasion. I think 260 late campaign needs another invasion around 290-300 or some kind of large scale revolt.
What i dont like is the enemy spawn too many agent. They often kill my leaders. Even Diocletioanus is dead :/. Also too many character get nicknames half of my generals and family members are harsh, cold hearted, mad, corpulentus, good.

The military reforms are scripted to take place after 158 turns in the case of the 260AD campaign. These will only occur in recrutiment cities and if the pre-diocletian and barracks buildings are intact. The scrip will destroy these buildings and construct both the post-diocletian reform building and equivalent barrack in those cities
Yes, there are enemies everywhere. Make sure you have a good assassin and spy attached to your favourite generals. What i dont like is the enemy spawn too many agent. They often kill my leaders.
