Default Yellow Vest Part II - French Boogaloo: Hundreds of thousands protest against Macron's government in France

Despite the violent crackdowns by government's forces, it seems that the spirit of Yellow Vest protests hasn't really gone down, as Paris is rocked by popular outrage over pension reform introduced by Macron's neoliberal government.
Essentially any worker who is in private sector would have to work well after his retirement age to earn his pension. According to French union reps, government officials are not affected by the reform, sparking even more outrage from the population.
That comes in addition to mass transport strikes that occurred earlier.
It seems that Macron's government is rapidly losing popularity, as both right and left seem incredibly unhappy with "let them eat cake" neoliberal policies. So will this result with Macron backing down again, like he did last year when Yellow Vests successfully forced him to overturn the fuel laws? Given the alarming statements he was making about his dream "Euroforce", chances are he may chose to use even more violence, which could lead to even further de-stabilization.

And EU does nothing against French police brutality against protesters and media. Funny that EU protests when it is Turkish, Russian or any other nation's police who does similar things.

Don't think its fair to compare France to either Russia or Turkey. France isn't remotely as harsh as Russia when it comes to dealong with protesters and Turkey itself arrested tens of thousands of people over baseless acvusations they were Gulenists.

I want to feel bad for the protesters but the French already having one of the lowest retirement ages in Europe. Reform is needee if people want to still get decent pensions.

This explains the recent global warming push in France. They need the money to fund the pension system. Probably a two pronged approach by up retirement age and pulling in additional tax dollars to pay off the bankers. I think it's clearly time for a little revolution over there.
Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

    Really? Didn't you read the article, a foreign jounalist was beaten by French police and he can become blind. What would be EU's reaction if that was a French journalist at Russia or Turkey? Why EU does nothing when French police is beating protesters and journalists? You say Turkey and Russia is acting harsher than France. Here is what French police did;

"A total of 24 protesters lost their eyes due to the police weapons. 11 people are killed, French state "claims" they are killed at road accidents. https://www.euronews.com/2019/11/15/...sed-protesters" So this is not harsh enough for you?

Did the French police kill 11 people? Your source doesn't indicate that at all.

And yes Russia and Turkey both act far harsher than France when it comes to protests. You can't even protest in Turkey without getting detained especially if you protest against their Syrian operations.

Let me remind you the last time Turkey had protests as large as those in France right now 22 protesters died and over 8000 were injured.

Russia has a similar record. France has nothing on Turkey and Russia when it comes to harsh treatment of protesters.

    Russia has a similar record.
The only thing that comes to mind is Yeltsin firing tanks at democratically-elected Russian Parliament in and its defenders in 1993, establishing himself as a dictator. Ironically that was done with "blessing" of Western powers. It seems like for Western elite "democracy" is merely a word, while what they really care for is to put who they benefit from the most, regardless of whether they are democratic or totalitarian.

    Good.
You are not supposed to have a pension since it was always set over the average life expectancy.
Also, have you compared retirement age across europe? The Yellow vests now protest against their fear not being able to retire with 56. In germany compared to that its 67. And not everybody is supposed to get there because otherwise the pyramid scheme wouldn't work.

chances are he may chose to use even more violence
So i have very little sympathy for these bourgie childless middle class commuters throwing a tantrum because of gas prices. Either quit your job if its not enough for you or go on with your life. Maybee macron should simply declare martial law and beat them back into the ... factories? On their office desk? I mean what kind of work do these people anyway when they life on the countryside and commute into the cities every day now getting riled up about their daily drive getting more expensive.

And what violence are we even talking about here. That some of these idiots got their pawns ripped off because they had to touch a flashbang grenade? Happens often in france. Or that they got their eyes shot out? You wanna mess with the riot police you know what you are getting into. These pathetic entitled middle class whiners are neither talented nor creative revolutionary material. For that job you would need the colonial riff raff from the Banlieues but they don't care about gasprices because they don't even have cars, and they don't care about retirement because they don't work. So what kind of outrage can come from such a population.
Let them throw a hissy fit on monday they are back at work cause they have bills to pay.

I hate cops but i root for them when they beat up bourgie rioters. Normaly one could say let them kill each other but in this case just one side is even capable of violence.
