Despite the violent crackdowns by government's forces, it seems that the spirit of Yellow Vest protests hasn't really gone down, as Paris is rocked by popular outrage over pension reform introduced by Macron's neoliberal government.
Essentially any worker who is in private sector would have to work well after his retirement age to earn his pension. According to French union reps, government officials are not affected by the reform, sparking even more outrage from the population.
That comes in addition to mass transport strikes that occurred earlier.
It seems that Macron's government is rapidly losing popularity, as both right and left seem incredibly unhappy with "let them eat cake" neoliberal policies. So will this result with Macron backing down again, like he did last year when Yellow Vests successfully forced him to overturn the fuel laws? Given the alarming statements he was making about his dream "Euroforce", chances are he may chose to use even more violence, which could lead to even further de-stabilization.
