What? Who was referring to jokes?

Is crying crocodile tears for "dignity" of neoliberal oligarchs really such a good hill to have your argument die on? Its like saying child molesters are innocent, because "they are born that way" or whatever is the current take of "progressive" left on that matter.

Wtf are you talking about? I am not dying on any hills or crying any tears, nor are child molesters relevant to neoliberalism or the "progressive left" (you do know those two ideologies are incredibly opposed to one another, right?).

It's like you are in your own little world and assume the rest of us are in their with you. But really, it just sounds like dissociated rambling with buzz words.

Making fun of, was what was being talked about.

In specific making fun of Neoliberals i think.

In truth it doesn't matter which enemies you have or dont have. Comedy doesn't have power, to hurt your political enemies or influence anyone in a relevant matter. Like ever comedian would tell you.

Clearly not in case of modern "progressive" left, which tends to demand that only favor neoliberal elites.

Sounds like a lot of projection. Let me guess, objective reality is Russian propaganda?

    Anyways, back to adult discussion:

Comedy, especially satire, is an intellectual weapon - hence why Muslims react quite painfully to humorous depictions of their religion and "prophet" and totalitarian regimes tend to criminalize making fun of respective "great leader".
Modern globalist left didn't evolve from that either- hence the above take about making fun of neoliberals being "horrific".
If politicians pushed for laws criminalizing making fun of them, these folks would have voted for that in a heartbeat. Some people are just forever stuck in slave mentality.

You may want to recheck those last few posts. We are pretty clearly talking about HH's claim that Neoliberals deserve to be dehumanized. Making fun is whatever, do what you want, but it gets creepy when start trying to justify dehumanization of, uh, humans.

The progressive left is for laissez faire Capitalism and low taxes for the rich, now? That's a new one.

It's always fun to have such a historically confused individual try to preach "objectivity" to me. Those damn Leftist Nazis!

Maybe we should have started by agreeing if it's a joke insulting a person unexpectedly. To me everything that has been said here (trump's insults) sounds more like humiliating an opponent with boorish insults taking advantage of having a dedicated audience.

That's exactly what it is. Trump shares the same pathology as his supporters, making both him and them very predictable. Anyone who opposes his desires is seen as an existential threat to his ego, so he'll do anything to tear them down and restore his sense of power. Things like compromise, negotiation, or trying to see the other person's point of view are utterly alien to him. At the same time he can be easily swayed by flattery, and will do whatever the flatterer wants so they'll continue to flatter him. This all leads him to have a very black and white view of the world. A person, country, idea, or thing is either all good or all bad, and those that are good instantly become bad the moment he feels slighted, as seen by his sudden firing and attacking those he hired and praised beforehand.

If anyone is predictable, that would be Democrats and their supporters. Trump's behavior is quite calculated, and he has his opponents right where he wants them - acting crazy and diminishing their own popularity by circling wagons with "ORANGE MAN BAD" rhetoric, which as time passes, becomes more and more irrational and deranged. And he did it all with a few tweets.

You could save a lot of typing time by just copy/pasting "You know what's bad? Democrats!" instead of tacking on drivel no one cares about.

I seem to have struck a nerve. It seems that Democrat supporters have not mentally evolved from their Jonestown days. At this point we can only hope Biden or Warren won't demand that their supporters commit "revolutionary suicide" after Trump is re-elected next year. Because a lot of them have no critical thinking skills and would probably would, just like their ideological predecessors.

This is wishful thinking in an attempt to deny reality and avoid feeling shame over Trump's bad behavior. It's like a child trying to claim their father isn't an alcoholic, he just likes to pass out naked on the kitchen floor in a pool of vomit for reasons you aren't smart enough to understand (the "4D chess" theory).

You can keep repeating "Orange Man is Stupid and Bad" mantra as much as you want, but at the end of the day, Democrats kinds admit that they are losing to as stupid guy, which makes them altogether more stupid.
Good luck with promises of free healthcare for illegal aliens in 2020 general.

And you can keep being blindly loyal to anyone who will tell you what you want to hear, that your personal and professional disappointments are all the fault of "the libs" and not your own poor choices. Just know that, for all your sneering contempt for others, Trump and the Republican elite feel the same about you.

What does this ad hominem attack have to do with Democrats constantly losing to a man who they themselves consider stupid?

Actually they are not losing to a man, but to a party. Moreover, ideological issues among the Dems are building their own defeat. Even Trump, as stupid and narcissistic he is, understand that most of the Americans will vote for him simply because they hate the Left ideologies more than they hate stupidity.

He is the president and represents that party in the next presidential elections. So yeah, if Democrats are losing to a stupid guy, that means they are themselves far bigger morons.
Americans voted for him simply because he positioned himself as an anti-establishment candidate, he was a breathe of fresh air after decades of clownshow between neocons who pretend to like family values and neolibs who pretend to like gay people.
If you think that being opposed to being exploited by globalist politicians and international corporations is "stupid", then it speaks more of your opinion, then Americans who simply chose a lesser evil.
