Yikes, you leave for two weeks and your tiny little mod turns into a nightmare. Guys, it's okay if you don't want women in your game, you don't need to install this mod.

This would indeed be in lieu of the official submod. It edits the same tables, it just also edits a couple other quick things to make sure that women can hold office and receive the relevant traits that men do. I have just uploaded barbarians only, a no Roman / Greek / Carthaginian, and barbarians + Egypt only versions.

I haven't had any crashes in this manner, and during testing I definitely had women die in battle (both my generals and enemy generals, I actually lost my firstborn daughter defending Sparta from a random Caledonian invasion). I'm not sure what's causing this; my guess is either there's a problem with a conflicting mod (somehow, this is such a lightweight mod it shouldn't conflict with anything that doesn't directly edit the female tables), or there's a problem with your game installation. Could you give me a list of the mods you're running with so I can check if there is some conflict? Also, a clean install and trying again might help, but I'm not sure that you'd want to go through all that just for this simple change. If so, please let me know if it works!

Also, I don’t know if this is possible, but I would really love to carve out Ptolemoi to allow female leaders as well, while leaving the rest of the Greeks and Romans male-only. (Because I like history, where women were considered normal leaders and commanders in many - but not all - cultures).
Here you go.
DeI Female Generals Only Barbs and Egypt.7z
Also, since apparently this is a popular request, I also just went ahead and made a version so there's no women in Rome, Greek, and Carthage, and another version that follows exactly the same manner as the original mod where only barbarians have women.
I make no claim that these actually work as advertised, because I created them in five seconds and did not test them, but they should work perfectly. If they don't (i.e. you start seeing Roman women or Greek women or whatever), let me know and I'll figure out why.
Obviously, don't run any of these at the same time, or with the full every culture can have women version. Just one at a time.

P.S. I would put these in the original post, but apparently I either cannot edit my post or I'm an idiot. Either seems probable.
