Sigh... No. The project did start before him. The design process was not fast tracked. The method of design that was used based on the studies that have been conducted since early 2010s allowed them to do it fast. You are assuming any of those names had any contribution purely based on high ranking power they had, yet, you have no idea about their actual contribution. This is getting embarrassing.

If it is getting embarrassing, it's not for me. Spin it as much as you want, but those high ranking people of course made reforms that allowed the new airplane to be designed, built, tested within a year. I would also like to see a source that the project started before Trump, as the source I put up clearly says the plane was designed, built and tested within a year.
That the method of designed was based on previous studies doesn't change that the design process was fast tracked.

You're literally making stuff up on the spot while asking for sources that you already ignored. This is indeed embarrassing. For me too, since I have to explain the obvious and facts that we can easily Google...

That article you posted talks about the NGAD. It says: "the Air Force is already procuring the ultimate future fighter that will eventually replace the Raptor under the so-called Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program.
But, assuming that a new fighter would require no less than twenty years to be developed, restarting the F-22 production line would be for sure a more cost-effective move for the service."

And lo and behold, Trump was elected president, replaced some people and instead of 20 years it was developed, built and tested in one year.

Correlation is not causation. The article works on very limited information. It assumes the new fighter would require 20 years to complete. It doesn't know how they're designing the plane. You're merely making stuff up about Trump's involvement. Your alternative is that one day Trump showed up with Isaac Asimov's books in his hands and told the chief engineer of the program to suggest they use AI to speed up the design process by doubling down reiteration times. He then proceeded to write the core programming to do that using C++. Sure. You have no knowledge on whether he replaced anyone that was directly tied to the program.

I have no proof he replaced anyone that was directly tied to the program. But since the 20 years project was done in 4 years and the 10-years design was done in 1 year, I have to assume that he did.

Also, assuming the changed administration replaced some people tied on an expensive program is nowhere like suggesting Trump showed up with Asimov's books and did advanced programming in C++.
It is a very reasonable assumption.

No. You don't have to assume he did. There is no sense in assuming he did.

    Or so you wrongly think.

Personally, I think that since he changed a lot of people, those changes had an impact.

    There's two options here:
    1. he replaced a lot of the management team, which led to increased efficiency
    2. he is so Captain America inspirational and incredibly awesome that the previously slacking teams started gaving 150% from the day he came into office.

    Pick one.

    3. The design team had plans to use a new kind of process (as pointed out in numerous articles covering the new plane) that takes much less time than the conventional methods take and the process was finished within planned time.

    This isn't rocket science, metaphorically.

They first built the plane virtually. Completely. Fly it in the server. Test it out. Then produce it. This allowed them to do many iterations in a very short time for a much lower cost. That's why they were able to produce a prototype with the electronics.

Yes, and who was PotUS when they did it? Who had placed the airforce bosses when this happened?

Look at how successfully Trump got COVID19 into his system. He should be applauded for that.

Obama was as the project started before Trump.

You really don't know anything about integrated system design. That's how it's always done.

Sigh... Using AutoCad to design parts for a plane is not what digital manufacturing is. You're jumping the gun here. From the original source:

The Air Force first developed a virtual version of the jet, and then proceeded to build and fly a full-sized prototype, complete with mission systems. This is in stark contrast to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

Again, this is how most complex systems are built since computers became a thing. It's called integration testing. You test each component individually (not in AutoCAD though) and then you test the entire ensemble in a simulated environment that runs at maximum stress, minimum stress and average stress. After that you build the prototype of the thing (if it's mass produced) and you test again in a real environment.

This is how cars are designed, how airplanes are designed, how spaceships are designed and how computer programs are designed.

Maybe they developed some fancy pants new simulator but you're making it sound like they've reinvented hot water.

You're really jumping the gun here about a subject you're simply wrong about. The conventional design procedures that include digital aspects is not what we're talking about when it comes to the new jet. You're confusing that with what's happening. It's so different that they're putting a new designation for planes designed this way. Having a few stress test simulations doesn't cut it. It's like playing Candy Crush on your smartphone and calling yourself a gamer...
