Default [Citizen] Chesser (Patron: General Brewster)

    Patron's Part
    Ladies and Gentleman,

Today it is my honor to announce the candidate named as General Chesser2538, also going by the name as Chessman, Southernman, Texonian, chess and last but not least, friend. Chess and I met a couple of years ago at the RPG section of the site. He always came across as the helpful guys that you seemingly cannot find in a bad mood. He could be one of those positivity guru's! He really likes foods like I do so we bonded over that naturally.

Joking aside, I know Chesser as a work horse. You have show horses and work horses and Chess surely is that last one. Never one to decline you some help if you ask for it. No task is too much and he always does it without complaining. As such he's a treasure for the RPG section where he is part of "Shed" the Gaming Staff section of the RPG forum but also as the person who monitors the Total Guess Competition. The man is very meticulous and honestly ask yourself. Would you want track everyone's score in a tedious list that requires you to go through every post of multiple threads and keeping record? He does it and does it with great care. The man's a treasure.

I will leave him to further and mainly show you that he is deserving. All in all I think Chesser is worthy to wield Thor's hammer... citizenship I mean of course.

To aid you all in this quest I shall leave you with... beavers.

    Cheers,
    The General.

    Applicant's Part
To the Citizens of the Curia,

I would like to open by thanking Brewster, who has been a good friend, mentor, and wealth of knowledge. It was his encouragement that led to me taking a more active role on the site. I would also like to thank Flinn for answering my questions and checking in on me as I was learning to edit and update the boards.

I have been a member of this site officially now for over 5 years. Longer if you count the many times that I would visit for RTW mods. I eventually would find the games section and take part in the Interactive History section before it died out. I then moved over to play in the Play by Post section. I would find a friendly player base and a fun experience.
After about a year of this I decided to volunteer as a Junior Mod. I would mainly start by doing rolls and writing up RP threads. I learned how things worked in the background and developed an understanding that would allow for me to help develop and edit future settings.

At the beginning of this year. I was approached by Flinn and asked if I would be interested in running some forum competitions. Being a long-time fan of these games; even coming up with some of them. I gladly accepted. Thus, began my official entry into Gaming Staff. While still a new addition to the site, The Total Guess Competition seems to be a success. I hope that it continues to grow, and we see more players participate.

More recently I was asked by Lucius Malfoy, the current Director of Gaming Staff, if I would be interested in joining the Shed. For those unfamiliar this is the 4-5 moderators that officially run the Play by Post RPG section, administer and develop new ideas and decide what games will be run in the future. They have been a pleasure to work with so far.

I consider it an honor to be considered for citizenship. Thank You all for your consideration,

    Respectively
    Chesser

Damn, I hate you Brew, just yesterday I was thinking of him as a possible client of mine

however, it's a no brainer from my side, having had the opportunity to work side by side with Chesser I can confirm everything that Brew said about his commitment and character; he has been instrumental to help me setting up and starting the Total Guess Competition and without his continuous work it wouldn't be possible to run it.

A very punctual and kind dude, this is of

Of these facts there cannot be any shadow of doubt: for instance, that civil society was renovated in every part by Christian institutions; that in the strength of that renewal the human race was lifted up to better things-nay, that it was brought back from death to life, and to so excellent a life that nothing more perfect had been known before, or will come to be known in the ages that have yet to be. - Pope Leo XIII
