I heard you were dead.
I'm actually a stout man myself, and enjoy a lot of different styles, but I have to say German and Czech beers absolutely rule. The reinheitsgebot has been a huge contribution to world civilisation. While we have to acknowledge the various recipes going back into antiquity (I believe dates and honey were included in Egypt and Mesopotamia, and our weird Belgian friends ad [gags] cardamon and orange peel) the adherence to four simple ingredients makes beer great.
So if this story was actually true (and the source in OP shoes its actually nonsense) what would be the implications for German beer making? I assume the separate Bavaria would still be in the EU and so there would be no barriers to trade and intercourse?

@Cyclops: Why are Threads about Germany always derailing into Beer-discussions? Your Opinion on the Reinheitsgebot is approved
Another Point is, what about people like me, originating from former franconian Regions? Will we be Bavarised with force? Will the whole of Franconia leave the Bavarian State?
So much questions.
The newest members of the Babes for Bavaria massvolkspartei are: Anny Aurora und Annette Schwarz; because a highly cultured people need high cultured porn!
I think there is a degree of similarity between Germany and Canada. Both are run by corrupt authoritarian globalists, who end up re-elected over and over again, despite overwhelming public disapproval, via gerrymandering, incoherent electoral system and importation of "new voters" via mass immigration, which in itself results with certain areas choosing to separate, like the Wexit movement here in Canada and now Bavaria in Germany.

But if the cause be not good, the king himself hath a heavy reckoning to make, when all those legs and arms and heads, chopped off in battle, shall join together at the latter day and cry all 'We died at such a place; some swearing, some crying for surgeon, some upon their wives left poor behind them, some upon the debts they owe, some upon their children rawly left.

Your post doesn't make much sense here. Basically Germans should sacrifice their living standards and nationhood for some weird globalist utopian socialist experiment pipe dream. Lack of incentive for pretty much anyone other then third world welfare migrants and billionaire elites is the reason why globalism is so hated in the West now.
I used to brew my own and have an appreciation for how hard it is to make a good clean beer.
Merci...I mean danke. Hmm seems like you Franconians may have been Bavarised already...what would the process be? Inject cream and top with chocolate!
GO BACK TO FRANCE!
The stem duchies are a fascinating relic of late antiquity and the Carolingian epoch. I also note you don't mention the Swabians. This decision is approved they are the Calabrians of Germany, testadura or dickköpfig as they say. My Greek friend has married a beautiful German woman whose mother is Swabisch and her father is from OstPreussen. Its a pretty explosive mixture.
