How do I remove or edit traits?

I noticed that the female characters in some factions (Macedonia, for example) have the "Family Duty" trait, which evidently prevents them from leading armies and navies. Unsurprisingly, the trait is not applied to those factions who can recruit female generals and admirals.

I am trying to find out how to remove or edit the properties of this trait, either in-game or by editing the files. I searched for help on Google but nothing turned up.

Can someone help me?

never used it but I think it should have this feature
