Hi there, if i get i5 9600k, and overclock it to 5.0 ghz, could medieval 2 use that 5.0 ghz of 1 core, or it will use some maxium limit of engine (example 4.0)?

I suspect you might see a shortening of the time it takes the game to end the turn with all the AI moves in the late stage of the campaign.
Or that too might not be noticeable.

All I know about processing power for M2TW is that the game (being old) can only use a single core, no matter how many you actually have. So clock speed is all. I've seen suggestions you can shunt all the other processes onto a different core to free up the one the game is using to become dedicated.

I thought this was only for Rome TW, not M2?

Nope, M2TW is ancient, just like RTW, it can only use one core.
