Yup, I no longer bother to. I don't really feel the need to after doing so a couple of times consecutively. It's simply an awful source of argument generator.

And yet you can't list one specific article that has false information. Pathetic.

In other news, ultra right wing boogey man Alex Jones goes completely bonkers. This is one of the funniest videos I've seen aside from watching a John Belushi movie. It is just slapstick hilarious:

He's a modern day Andy Kaufman. I think hes leglit 20% crazy but mostly an act.

As for the impeachment, I don't think the Dems realize what they did. They didn't energize their "base" at all, they don't even know what their base is anymore, its a multiheaded hydra of special interests, socialism, and identity politics.

It energized the crap out of Trumps base, I won't say Republicans, though they are included but also the old school Democrats who don't care if the bathrooms are unisex, but whats on their tables.

Out of 5 special elections in Connecticut, 2 flips republican, in Connecticut.

Those got ignored nationally because Kentucky had a 50 year, always Democrat, seat flip.

I think the Democrats best and only hope is actually the Corona virus, I've seen this in forums, hoping that the economy tanks hard enough and stupid people blame Trump for the plague like a king of old.
"When I die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like Fidel Castro, not screaming in terror, like his victims."

    My shameful truth.

    All true indeed or I should say sad but true. Humor is where you can find it these days. I remember when noted commentator and Hillary supporter Al Sharpton stood on Obama's doorstep with a megaphone cracking jokes about his white mother;

"you're moma's so fat that when she got the flesh eating disease the doctor gave her six years to live"

All is forgotten if you're Democrat. They get their opinion given to them fresh everyday.

Democrats actually hold their own to some sort of standard. People who go against our values, like Al Frankin, loose our support. The Republicans, however, have no values anymore beyond "what is right and true is whatever Trump finds pleasing". If Trump announced that he now wanted the 2nd Amendment repealed, you would be expected to agree or be declared a RINO.

Al Franken resigned as the accusations against him mounted. This is in contrast to the party that supported Roy Moore and still supports Donald Trump. I'd want to know if investigations against Al Franken have actually yielded any information, but we literally have tapes and recordings of Trump saying vile things. Roy Moore pretty much admitted dating teenagers when he was in his 30s and the details/scopes of these allegations is far greater than anything I can find on Al Franken.

No, they didn't yield anything. In fact, the woman in the "offensive" pictures accepted Franken's apology and said that it was a misunderstanding. The guy posed for a photo with a sleeping army soldier wearing a plate carrier with his hands a good distance away miming cupping breasts as a joke about how hard it would be to grope someone through a plate carrier. Inappropriate? Maybe. Sexual assault/harassment? No.

The second allegation was that he apparently grabbed a woman's ass in a crowd during a large group photo, but she said she couldn't be sure it was him. If I recall she was also paid to come forward with the story.

That was not a soldier, that was Leanne Tweeden, and this does not sound as though she says it was a misunderstanding:
"But it was when she left the USO show and looked over photographs given to her by a photographer that she found one that showed Franked grabbing her breasts while she was sleeping in the plane and wearing an army-issued protective vest.

"I couldn’t believe it. He groped me, without my consent, while I was asleep. I felt violated all over again. Embarrassed. Belittled. Humiliated. How dare anyone grab my breasts like this and think it’s funny?" she said."

Clearly "groping" her in the photo.

"A subsequent review of the photo revealed that it may have been a parody of a skit that had been used in the USO show's comedy routine. In the skit, Franken appears as a doctor who informs Tweeden's character that "a woman your age should have a complete breast examination every year"; Franken then approaches her with his arms outstretched and his hands aimed at her chest"

"although Tweeden stated "he wrote that sketch just to kiss me", it was later confirmed that the same kissing skit had been performed on the USO tour by several other actresses in previous years. It had been intended as a callback to the Bob Hope/Raquel Welch USO skits of the Vietnam era. Numerous witnesses on that tour recalled that Tweeden had performed the skit on multiple occasions. CNBC's John Harwood said in defense of Franken, referring to a video taken of her "humping" a surprised, married comedian Robin Williams on a similar 2004 USO tour, "[T]hat pic was obviously a joke, not groping, just like Leeann Tweeden wrapping her leg around Robin Williams and smacking his butt; entertainment for soldiers deployed overseas is raunchy like that." Franken responded, saying: "I certainly don't remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann. [...] As to the photo, it was clearly intended to be funny but wasn't. I shouldn't have done it." He issued a longer apology later, which Tweeden accepted"

I may have been incorrect about that specific aspect, but regarding everything else I believe I am correct. Not to mention given the sources I provided, it would seem her initial accusation is suspect.

Note that Al Franken and many Dems were more than happy to have a full investigation. Can't say the same for the sycophants in the GOP.

I'd still like to see an investigation to clear him of any wrong doing. Or, if it does find something, convict him.

Of what I addressed? Lets see... The photo was not of a 'sleeping army soldier'. It was of Tweeden.
"his hands a good distance away", what is a good distance away? If his fingers are not at least touching her, it would be difficult to get any closer without.
You also claimed that it was done "as a joke about how hard it would be to grope someone through a plate carrier". Yet the excuse you quoted was that it was done as a "parody of a skit that had been used in the USO show's comedy routine. In the skit, Franken appears as a doctor who informs Tweeden's character that "a woman your age should have a complete breast examination every year".
The only other part was her accepting the apology, which I said nothing about and the source I provided stated. So one thing correct.

The part I did not address:
The second allegation was that he apparently grabbed a woman's ass in a crowd during a large group photo, but she said she couldn't be sure it was him. If I recall she was also paid to come forward with the story.
The "second" allegation was Lindsey Menz:
It was not a group photo, she knows it was him, and I don't see anything about her being paid:
    https://www.cnn.com/2017/11/20/polit...010/index.html

There were more allegations, some anonymous.
Not to mention given the sources I provided, it would seem her initial accusation is suspect.
    Of course it is...

    What difference does this make?

He doesn't appear to be even touching her.

Because it is. None of these allegations have much to go on besides the allegation. Moreover, Franken was more than happy to co-operate. So yeah. These allegations are a little suspect.

To be determined by what constitutes a "good distance away".

This should be a discussion about whether or not what Franken did constituted harassment (it did not), or something else related to that matter. It should not be about my specific phrasing so that you can try to eke out some technical grammatical victory. The message and intention behind my post was clear, as Love Mountain explained above.

    - He was not groping her and his hands did not touch her.

    - The joke, as is clear from the description given in the sources and from the pictures, is in fact about the difficulty of giving a breast exam or coping a feel through a plate carrier. So, no I wasn't exactly wrong there. Not that it mattered.

    - She did accept his apology, regardless of whether its in your source it is in the ones I've provided and the information is very easy to find. Like, for example, on Wikipedia.

Unless litigated in a court of law these accusations are just that, accusations. And flimsy ones at that.
