    Last Alliance: TW is total conversion of Shogun 2. This mod base on stories from Tolkien's books, concretely on end of Second Age when Elves and Númenoreans fought against Sauron - many years before events from "The Hobbit" and "Lord of the Rings". The goal of the mod is changing most aspects of the game: models, units, campaign map, ui, music, battlemaps, etc. This still WIP, but is avaiable alpha with playable campaign ^^ In final version will be two campaigns: Akallabęth and Last Alliance War.

    DOWNLOAD Last Alliance: TW Alpha 0.2.1:
    - MODDB


    Recommended difficulty level: Normal (or Hard if you need more challenge)

    Alpha version include:
    - Akallabęth campaign witn new campaign map
    - New animations
    - A lot of new units and models
    - Heroes with own bodyguards
    - New buildings, techonlogies, skills trees and more.

    Main changes in Alpha v0.2.1:
    - 11 new provinces (7 in Calenardhon and 4 in Gondor) - all under Wildmen control
    - Removed provinces on Tolfalas Island (because I can’t find way to fix problems with this island, maybe I will back to this later)
    - Removed River Ports on rivers: Harnen, Gwathlo, Baranduin and Lhun (caused more problems than was useful)
    - Changed this rivers to standard rivers (before it was sea territory, but too small to navigate fleet) - except part of Harnen and part of Gwathlo - but it would be too long to explain this problem here
    - Fixes for land and sea trade routes and also roads around this rivers
    - Probably fixed permanent crash which could be on Kingdom of Lindon AI turn
    - All faction leaders which unique outfit and bodyguard are now immortal - temporary solution to limit situation when random characters use outfits belonging to important characters
    - Added new building icons for Wildmen
    - Added elven faction in Edhellond (they use now Lindon’s roster, buildings, technologies, etc. - it placeholder, later they will be Galadhrim subfaction)
    - Added more variants of colours for elven tunics
    - Test - changes in height map in Numenor - I'm trying to make campaign landscape more good looking but idk whether it looks better ;-;
    - Added region borders on minimap - now should be more readable
    - Fixed sea ground type in place where is trading point with dwarves from Orocarni (no more fleets suffer sea's attrition in this place)
    - Removed wall’s cannons in siege battles
    - Some other small fixes

    All releases changelog

    Campaign will be expanded (new lands and factions) in next patches. Here is road map for main updates:

    Awesome and a very good idea to start with a "Teaser".
    May I suggest you keep this small campaign as an appetizer and prologue even when the "main thing" arrives (which will probably take a few years...)

    If I may, how did you deal with Realm Divide in this campaign?

    Would it be possible to "enlarge" the "mini" campaign map a bit and perhaps add a few more provinces? An island of 400-800 miles across is a damn big place... it is probably double the size of Japan.

    S2TW is the most moddable total war title in existence but how much can be done with it, is often overshadowed.

    To be honest, in future will be two grand campaign in mod (Akallabeth and Last Alliance), because I have plan to expand this mini-campaign in updates. I mean e.g. when I will prepare Lindon army and building - mini-campaign receive Lindon territory
    About Realm Divide - I only changed requirements that are now unachievable
    And no, I can't enlarge Numenor Island because would be to big relative to Middle-Earth (when I will add Middle-Earth on map). Campaign map has resticted size (I'm trying take off this restiction, but I didn't do it yet )

    Oh, you plan to "include" this as is in the main campaign once it's done?
    Wouldn't it be possible to have two separate maps? One that is just a big numenor island, with more provinces etc (i.e. like Japan in S2TW) and a different campaign map which has a small numenor with perhaps 7-10 provinces and the rest of the middle earth?

    Creating one campaign map is very much work, and for this reason I decided make both campaign in the same map scale. In future in mini-campaign will be also Lindon, Enedwaith, Harad and other lands. And when I will have units for all (or most) factions I will just remove Numenor from map (because when was Last Alliance War Numenor doesn't exist) and I will change start situation for Last Alliance War

    Install version 0.1.0 from first download link and next install hotfix on it

    The game has a learning curve. I would say it is closer to NTW than S2TW.

    thanks for ur mod,tws2 is my favourite game,and i really like its mods,and its a really a surprise for me that there is a modder still working on it since years passed.thanks a lot.

    Looks great. Your able to mod the campaign map? question can you mod units into creatures like tools ents etc? I might have to get shogun 2 if this mod completes.
