    Dear Kam,

    I hope I am finally in the right place.

    I am using both of these submods. I am Rome and have quite a number of Triarrii or equivalents.

    I get the impression that they are locked into phalanx or pseudo phalanx, and therefore cannot run. Is this true?

    Because I can make them run. Steps:

    1) Pause
    2) Turn off Phalanx (I know it goes back on automatically.)
    3) Order them someplace
    4) Unpause and quickly order a run before the phalanx green icon drops on the flag

    Now, what is the utility of this? I have a main line with triarii in the center for holding. On the flanks, I have princepes for maneuverability and pila throws at anyone attacking the center.

    Normally, it would be hard to smoothly advance such a line due to different speeds. But with the trick above. If you run triarii and walk the princepes, they will hold formation.

    Comments?

    That is the point of this submod, phalanx is set as default setting in order to fix phalanx rotating bug. Since you cant make AI use it too, formation bonuses are set as passive and their speed is locked to walking.

    I understand, but I think I am making them run.

    Next time I play I will conduct some testing, and if I can make them run, I will probably send you a video demonstrating the exploit.

    No need for it, there are a lot of stuff that can be abused and just dont abuse it if you dont want exploit. In theory passive abilities cant be turned on/off but AI is also able to do such stuff. Its just imperfect engine.
