Clarification question: Do we put Sir_battleterrain_max in the same folder as the db.pack file or does it go in the main data folder?

This mod applies to the penninsula and ottoman campaign as well?

No- only the 1805 campaign. Have a version for the peninsula campaign but will have to have an outside download cause it is too large to upload here. Enjoy this.

UPDATE: Unit spacing increased to reduce AI unit blobbing in AI defensive battles. Tested- Blob has been reduced by 75% -AI quickly forms into a battle line. Much better. Ai will recruit more units to make armies. Changed the army balance to have 5% more Cavalry and Artillary units. NOT SAVE COMPATIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SORRY

FEED BACK ON THIS VERSION. Is the AI expanding enough?. Is the Ai making armies? Does the Ai in defensive battle have less blobbing and or getting into formation faster? Make sure to play with larger unit sizes.

didnt say thank u yet! love the mod. really pumps up the game and immersion !
got 2 questions though:
I guess its not recommended to play on max diff. for battles? (had elite french grenadiers die to 2 units of milita . and enemy unit stats are way over the top.)
and second one : do I need to redownload and replace the db file for ever update ?
found the issue . had something messed up with another mod i was using with LME 4 . clean installed everything and now the units are many but not twice as powerfull anymore.
btw. been playing about 50 rounds so far .... a lot of blobbing going
So as stated below, about 50 rounds inso far (playing as france).
one thing i somewhat like but find a bit OP is 20 unit per type as a limit for top tier units such as reserve kurassiers or old guard ... where can i decrease that?
AI is making good mixed armies, even focuses on elite units such as grenadiers ,guard and kurassiers wich is verry nice. behaves overall verry agressive in battles especially with grenadier or other high charge bonus units. havent had blobbing in a battle with ai attacking so far.
I personally wouldnt mind them to be even more agressive, they do tend to split up armies a lot. for ex. austria gathers 4 full armies at Tirol and then lets them all dribble in 1 bye 1 or spreads them so far appart that i can pick them one bye one .
and one thing i did notice is that they are leaving their general wondering arround eigther so far behind their main line without protection that i can hunt him down or they just run him behind my lines without bothering .
might be hard to adress , i know that CA pathfinding is BS
thats all i've noticed so far.
AI defending is a different thing . 2/3 battles they blob up and wait for me to shoot them or come closer , might something with visual range (late trigger to maneuver against my army?)

actually forgot something quite annoying : when i left click on a battlefield or naval battle (on minimap) i get a weird camera angle from Underneath the ground and have to zoom out again before i can continue with the fight.
Playing on Normal difficulty and Hard battle settings with Medium size units (as NTW3 mod was designed for). As felixbahlmann notes the AI is fairly aggressive on the attack but still blobs up on the defense most of the time. The AI General roaming behind your lines is probably scouting out weak positions. I usually just leave him alone as they normally don't threaten any units. As mentioned the 20 unit limit for all recruitment could use a slight adjustment. The original NTW3 mod did prioritize Elite & Guard units for the AI recruitment settings so they do show up in significant numbers during battles. So far a lot of fun

The v9.0 plays well Started a campaign with Prussia and annexed Saxony on turn 3, moving on Hessen in late November (turn 6) they have a well equipped full stack army. Generals Hohenlohe & Blucher will have a fight on there hands as they move to consolidate Hessen into the expanding German empire controlled by Prussia. Note at this particular time General Blucher was commanding a cavalry corps in 1806, and earned his well deserved reputation later on in 1813.
