One Thing to note atm: (might just be a thing for me, gonna reinstall and see if that fixes it.)

Bigger, Longer Lasting Naval battles tend to crash a lot, so I only auto-solve. Also quite often when I select ball and chain it just fires 4 out of the 30+ fully loaded cannons even though I'm in grapeshot range.... haven't noticed an occasion where normal cannon ball or grapeshot didn't work (as long as I'm in range).

Try adjusting your graphic settings down a bit to accommodate your cpu & gpu limitations. Because the NTW3 mod is 11 years old, it can be a resource hog and will even push high cpu's to there limits: http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,7...-tips/Reviews/

I did all of that already, running high graphics with 1.6 multiplayer with barely any CTD's on land battles. I found the problem with naval battles, the game doesn't like to do boarding .... as soon as I try even one boarding action it's enough to crash the game. Just had a couple big naval battles lasting well over 1 hour and as long as i don't try the pirate lifestyle, no crashes .

Have not played much of Bran's latest version, but my initial impressions are that its disappointingly close to vanilla. It propably results in more challenging campaign, which is good - AI could not cope with Napoleonic 3 so all the campaigns ended up being too easy.

+repped you as is appropriate, your job is really appreciated, i just don't yet know if i like all the changes. Will play some more to find out.

Thanks for all the work and effort!

Oh, i am not saying this is too easy! I am just saying that gameplay is, understandably, much closer to vanilla.

NICE ! will definitly try it out, the standart version seems a bit easy later on

One thing to note : if u play as the defender against multiple enemy armies they tend to blob up and only start moving as soon as u get in close (about 3-4 times musket range) ,u can basically bait 3-4 units in that way. guess theres something wierd with the vision range of reinforcements? ... i dont know .

forgot something : only the incoming reinforcements blob up , so the first full army makes its advance and then the others go into the mexican- standoff-blobb

UPDATE: Super Slaughter version. Increased spotting ranges 35%-50%. Enemy AI in Defensive battles will form up sooner so it help with them getting out of blobs. More responsive in AI attacking battles.

Will this still work with 8.9 version? (I only play custom battles)

Probably not, changes in the db tables usually negate earlier versions

Does the current version work in the Peninsular campaign?

No, Bran's sub-mod is specifically for the NTW3 1805 European campaign.
