Thank you very kindly for your reply, but installation of NWT3 isn't the confusion, I have had it installed and look forward to getting involved in the MP community once I have more experience in SP. The confusion is Bran Mc Born. The instructions point to initially installing 2 files from moddb but then there is a 3rd file db.rar attached at the bottom. So ... do I install all 3 files, or some combination there of ? That is my question in a nutshell Thank you again ...

Yes you must first install the NTW3 mods then apply Bran's file to finish his mod install.

Understand, but not asking about NTW3, have had that installed for awhile now. Asking about Bran and Bran only.

The 3rd file db.rar is the only one you need to install to run Bran's mod.

The game crash on campaign start if I try to use your db.pack.
I'm not playing ntw on english, I wonder if that may be the cause of the problem.

Same here. Installed NTW3 following instructions to the letter. Even applied the latest patch 8.9.1

And game crashes on Campaign launch after replacing the db file.

Bran's mod my not be compatible with the newer NTW3 v89.1 patch for the campaign. Hopefully he'll be releasing an update for it in the near future.

Should I downgrade to 8.9 or wait the new BRAN's release?
Will my 8.9 save be compatible with 8.9.1 and the addition of BRAN's file?

The newer additions will not be compatible with older save_games but Bran's version should have more updates included with it.

Hi, im having the same issue. fully updated and working ntw3 and when i change to brans db file the campaign crashes on start up. Even tried with ntw3 without the lastest 8.9.1 addon patch. Any ideas? thanks

I will update it when they have a working version of version 9. I am very busy with other mods right now.

so does this not work even rolling back to previous version of NTW3? seems to crash on campaign startfrom 8.7 to 8.9

House Rules: Best to let AI build up some forces for 10 turns before attacking, Use ultra size settings and set unit multiplier to 1.3 to 1.6 in your preferences file.

Utilised to 1,3 /1,6 /1.3 and 1.6 - not working . campaign crashes before it starts ... or do i have to use the 8.8 launcher ? (dont i loose the 8.9 and 9.1 addon then ?)

Well seems like we all have to be patient. I did a little testing . tried implementing Bran's mod on 8,7 up to 8.9.1 and all in between (with and without each versions patches/fixes/addons/launcher(s) ..... same thing always: crashing as soon as i try to start a campaign :/ ... sry guys we HAVE to wait

Bran Mac Born's NTW3 add-on mod needs to be updated. As noted above that will be done when v9.0 is released, hopefully this spring
