What do you think of these idea for WE?

    1) And heraldic symbol on the cape (of course it will vary with the faction)
2 Have a kind of camo pattern? Ridiculous or interesting?

What do you think of these concepts

Green/blue metallic for the normal soldiers (similar to the WE weapon colours), with some Amber decoration

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

And for elite units (Eternal Warden), Amber colour + Green/blue decoration

Is it nice? Going too far from lore?

Final version of the Wood Elves Spearmen.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Eternal guards: long spear, varied hair and eyes colour.

Officer has golden / silver armor, and a sword

His bodyguards keep the lances, and have an amber armor with blue/green decoration.

The soldiers have dark bronze metallic parts with dark silver decoration, and wooden lance.

The Eternal wardens have a white lance.

The officer has the golden armor and a sword.

The bodyguards have the golden armor, and still a lance.

Soldiers armor is amber with with blue/green decoration.

Each region in the ME map allows recruiting different units, with the colour and heraldry of the Elven Realms present in this area.

The heraldry is visible on the cape, and some shields.

In each region of the ME map, the WE can recruit different version of their units, one for each Elven Realms that is in this region in the lore (with slight adjustment to better spread them).

Each of these unit has it's specific colour (with some darker/lighter variations, so the wood elves units are less uniformed than the high elves).

They their heraldic symbol on their cape, and on some of their shields.

Speaking of archers.... I couldn't find a good place to add heraldry (cape not really good because of quiver), so I just used faction colours.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Glade Guards (with different hair and eyes colours)

The officer has a distinguisable helmet.

His bodyguards has red/brown cape and leaves (same as Lord's Bowmen)

The regular soldier has green and cape, is usually bare headed. And has a simple sword.

You may notice I changed the texture of the cape to make it less "uniform"

The Lord's bowmen are elite Glade Guards. Stronger, but the unit is twice smaller.

Their officer has an amber helmet.

And is bodyguard a regular helmet

For the slodiers, I wanted to contast the elite Veteran with the "green" glade guards, so I made them more "autumn" colours than "spring".

The leather on their boots or shoulder is a bit more reddish, their skirt and cape is also red/brown instead of greenish. The leaves are autumn leaves, red or yellow.

They have some head gear, and have a runic sword.

Here is my view or more Wood Elves units.

Deepwood scouts are supposed to be stealty, but CA used the same texture as glade guards for them, including bright faction for the loincloth or cape....
My deepwood scouts have a greenish leather for shoulders and boots.
The still have faction colour, but they are darker, and the cloths is woven with kind of darker pathes, and don't looks as uniform.
They also know how to hide their face or tigh with some greenish dye.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The Masters scouts have black leather. Evenh with light faction colour (like Fyr Darric loincloth or mask), the fabric integrates some green fibers for better concealement.

The waywatchers are supposed to be even better at concealment.... but they are just running half naked with some wooden armor.

So my waywatchers are better... they use fabric with different shades of faction colour, and dye their skin green.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The Sentinels also use brown dye

    Wildwood rangers

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I have reworked the part which are faction colours, added the fog effects on the textures, and adjust the cuirass to the same bronze colour as the eternal guard.
The have the standard blue metal weapon

The elite Wildwood Ranger Sentinels have dark green leather, and amber cuirass and weapons decoration

Officers have a golden cuirass, black leather and the lord cape.

    Wardancers

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I didn't change them much, just made the faction colour parts (including tatoos) more visible, and included different hair colour

For the elite bladesingers, I changed the leather to dark greenish, tha tatoo are mixed of the two factions colours, and they have partly dyed hair (faction colour)

Spoiler for Sisters of the Thorn

Long time with no news... I went back to work after some time at home, so less free time, and I've busy reworking the mod to use WS model. Good news: it works, and the size of the WE pack was reduced from 190 Mb to 75 Mb at the moment!

Here is a preview of my Sisters of the Thorn. I'm trying to give faction colours to the steed hair.

The elite Handmainden of the Thorn have amber Armor, and ride a white Steed

I realized I still a washed out texture issue with the wsmodel, but I think I solve it. See the difference for the amber armor between screenshot below (corrected) and above (with issue)

    Spoiler for Wild Riders

And here are the Wild riders, with different faction colours for the steed.

I gave thel a "greenish" metal helmet wuith amber decorations.

I didn't like what CA did with their body, they just looked sick with their green skin. So I change it to look more like painting than a green skin.

The officer has a golden armor with silver decoration

And the elite wild hunter have a steed with a green hue, and they have amber armor.

For the shields, there are now some generic ones, but in full faction colours

and some with the realm heraldry on their shield

Wood Elves hawk riders. Not much beside varied hair and eyes/colours

I've just adjusted the armor to match the other units

The officer's bodyguards have an helmet, and amber armguards

And the officer has golden helmet and armor

The elite Wind Riders have amber armor,

    and they ride red warhawks.

    Spoiler for Dryads and Treekins

Dryads. I didn't make specific textures for the officer ands his guard, they are simply bigger.

Dryads are a little greener than vanilla

The elite Branch Nymphe have a more brown colour, and are a little bigger

and instead of green glow, they have an amber glow

Treekins, again with bigger officer and guards

And they are also a bit greener than Vanilla

While the elite Elder Treekins are brownish

Spoiler for Spellsingers with lore specific graphics

Spellsingers: instead of sharing the same textures, now each lore of of magic has its own unit textures! Both for spellsinger "on foot" or with a mount

Life has blond hair and blue eyes, with green effects on hair and hands. Their cloths are greenish

Beast has red hair, green eyes, and red effects. And brownish cloths.

Shadow has dark hair and purple eyes and blue effects. And dark clothes.

You cannot see if with simple screenshots, but the hair and hand effects are all animated.

The units still have faction colours.

All the screenshots above, and the one below, are for Torgovann

    This is Argwylon

    Talsyn

    and Wydrioth
