Thread: Beta Testing for v. 1.15 - Sign up thread

Default Beta Testing for v. 1.15 - Sign up thread

    Salve forumites!

We are officially nearing public release of patch 1.15. This is the most characteristic update in the project's now one year history, infused with detail in every nook and cranny. Substantial effort has gone into polishing virtually every facet of the mod, and we are very excited to bring you this update. Because the update is so substantial, and because the team is small, we mostly haven't had the time to do the kind of longer playthroughs that help reveal dynamic issues and bugs. Because we want to bring you the very best experience on release (within capacity), the team would like to open up for a new round of beta testing.

How can I become a beta tester?

If interested, please fill out the form below.

Previous experience testing for mods, or modding:
Factions I'm interested in testing (max 2):
How much time I can dedicate during the next 2 weeks:
Interested in playing full or short campaigns:

(Faction list: Rome, Carthage, Seleucid Empire, Ptolemaic Kingdom, Macedon, Pergamon, Achaean League, Baktria, Pontus, Armenia, Parthia, Media Atropatene, Nabatea, Cimbri, Marcomanni)

Furthermore, if you have talent and interest in any facet of modding and aspire to become part of a merry team, look no further. Ancient Empires is eager to take on modders who love history and have a work ethic that means being able to work autonomously. If you have experience with any of the following:

    • db editing
    • research
    • artwork/ui
    • scripting
    • custom battle maps

And would like to join - drop a private message

    Salve Sheridan!

I would like to be a beta tester for Ancient Empires v. 1.15.

Previous experience testing for mods, or modding:
This would be my first time to become active in testing a mod. I haven't done any modding myself, but i am using mods for years now and i have been following the development of Ancient Empires since the beginning.
Factions I'm interested in testing (max 2):
I would be interested in testing the factions of Rome (who wouldn't be) and Pergamon.
How much time I can dedicate during the next 2 weeks: I am a student and i'm having my summer break currently. I would be able to test a lot of features in the upcoming two weeks, at least one or two hours every day.
Interested in playing full or short campaigns:
I'm more interested into playing full campaigns, the bigger your empire gets, the more challenging it becomes to manage it and that's what I love about strategy games.

Hi Sheridan, I would like to take part in the beta testing. I've never before tested any mod so in fact I have no experience in this domain. However I've spent many hours on playing AE, the vanilla game, Rome 2 and Shogun 2 where I have spoted to many issues (especially in Rome 2 and some in Attila ; hopefully CA will fix them...). I am interested in any faction except a barbarian one (ex. Rome and Ptolemaic kingdom for testing sounds perfect) and I prefer long campaigns. Considering my time, I could find some hours nearly each day in the upcoming week.

I don't have any talent to help the modding; but would be interested in beta testing. I did a beta test Panzer Corp 5 yrs. +. I am available for hours daily because I am retired. I would be interested in Rome, and a full campaign.

hey, sheridan, excited to hear this update.

Previous experience testing for mods, or modding: none with TW games, though i have countless hours of playtime on Europa Barbarorum II.
Factions I'm interested in testing (max 2): the Gallic factions are missing from your given roster, is that to say they're not being given much focus for this update? if that's the case, i'd be principally interested in the Marcomanni and the Cimbri factions.
How much time I can dedicate during the next 2 weeks: 20-30 hours each week, give or take.
Interested in playing full or short campaigns: fuller campaigns.

let me know if you think i could be of any help!

Previous experience testing for mods, or modding: none, but I am following twcenter and the mods a very long time now

Sorry, late to the party. still need beta testers? would it be okay if i recorded its as a playthrough? if so, i usually play short campaigns (due to snowballing effect). can take Armenia and/or Pontus for a ride. thanks!
