Thread: Where can you find the rigid_models and ws.models?

Default Where can you find the rigid_models and ws.models?

In the variant editor, you see dozens of copies for models but when you open pack file manager to actually extract the models, you only see a tiny amount of them. Most of what you see instead are xml files for the alpha materials. I wanted to create new instances for the same model so that when I edit it, it doesn't reflect the changes to unit or character that's using it by default i.e. I want to make Sun Ce's armor black and give it to a new unit. Thanks in advance.

I know this for ToB, but who knows maybe it works for 3K too.

Aha, thanks that will be really helpful, however that is for when you have already found and extracted the rigid models.

In 3K's variants.pack however, this is the only one that shows up for me.

I almost forgot, but this is how it's shown in the variant editor for comparison.

As you can see, the variants.pack file for 3K is missing a lot of files that I think is currently hidden from PFM/RPFM users.
This is so frustrating to be honest. The Warhammer .pack files were a lot more straight forward in this regard.

I think Genreless would appreciate anything about how things works in 3K as he is the one who is currently updating PFM with 3K support, so why not post your findings here.
