Opening a UPK file

Hey- im wondering if anyone can help me get some 3d model UPK files open?

I tried downloading and installing two different versions of UDK

One crashed when trying- and now it permanently reopens as some kind of weird 1st person shooter test game that has nothing to do w the file

The other says it fails to open because its missing some assets?

Have you tried to open that UPK file with Gimp?

Not sure if that works or not, but worth a try.

eh nah,
its unreal specific, and I did some digging, it turns out most upk files released from over seas companies are "cooked" meaning basically they are encrypted in a sense (different for each company) and its basically impossible/not worth anyones time to unencrypt and extract. so Looks like i wont be getting the Tiger Knight empire war models into 3k
