That's curious - but then Steam does stuff when you use the rename method, hence it's not advisable.
I strongly advise to check the 'launch option' entry as I described, that is most likely the reason.
It seems a little weird but i reinstalled the game after i reinstalled the mod and somehow everything works fine and i do not have any problems during end turn
Probably something was wrong with the game files
But everything works fine
Hey, Gigantus,
I just found and installed this new version you did. It works with Steam thankfully.
However, during my gameplay as France, I was never offered a single marriage proposal. Usually, in the old versions, I got swamped by automatic ones.
Not sure if anyone else is having this issue?
Did you play the fully updated previous version (4.3) at the time? Which type of proposal: offering a general for your princess or a bride for your unmarried heir? And do you have either now?
Just curious because I did not change any family tree related stuff.
Its the event where a fitting woman is found for a family member/heir. I do get plenty of adoption requests.
I used to get the first (Fitting woman) all the time in 4.3. I am going to check other factions after I'm done with France to see if it related to the number of territories I have.
I played Byzantine and I got a marriage proposal. It just seems to be a lot rarer for some reason.
I have steam version and I downloaded this mod, it installed without errors but when I play battle there are no unit cards or battlefield commands showing. I was wondering if download was corrupted, do you have any ideas to fix thanks.
maybe you can send me another download it did say it was unverified but managed to get it installed thanks again.
Yeah, my mod (and everyone else's mod installer) isn't on win10's list of verified\trusted file sources- hence the 'unverified' message.
I wonder if you have the minimal battle UI selected somehow. The unit cards show up then when you move the cursor to the bottom edge I believe. Else simply press escape during battle and change the setting accordingly in the 'UI Options'.
Hi there @Gigantus,
First I'd like to thank you for the update. This is mod is one of the best I played for Medieval II so far. Balance is truly great, first time I see the AI challenging myself.
I came across some sort of bug today when playing.
In my Novgorod campaign, I built ballista towers in my Capital, and yet during siege it doesn't work.
Towers are still firing arrows.
Any ideas why this might occur ? Any help / advices would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Quantum
For some reason I did not update the data\descr_walls.txt file, the original does not contain a ballista tower entry. You can get that file from any kingdoms mod or from my Bare Geomod set up.
Thank you for the reply @Gigantus,
When it comes to mods editing I'm kind of a novice. Not really sure about what I should do. Could you be more specific please ?
Do I have to replace the data\descr_walls.txt file in KGC folder with the British Isles one for instance ?
Or do I have to add the section about ballista tower into the existing KGC files ?
Best,
Quantum
Replace the file, that's all that is needed. And with 'kingdoms' I meant another mod as you would otherwise need to unpack the British Isle campaign. Simply install my BG and then copy the file from there (mods\bare_geomod\data) into the KGCM directory (mods\kgcm\data)
Many thanks Gigantus for your work with this mod. It has given a new lease of life to M2TW for me. Rep.
I do, however, have the same issue that Warriordude had, of no unit cards, radar, or battle controls for combat. This is every battle either in campaign or custom battle mode. I checked that battle UI is not set to minimal.
Did you find a fix for this @Warriordude?
Edit: I am using Windows 7
Actions so far:
Deleted kcmg5 mod folder
Reinstalled using KGCM5.0.exe
Uninstalleld Steam Medieval II Total War
Downloaded and reinstalled Steam Medieval II Total War Definitive Edition

I haven't got the link handy as I am not at my computer, but my 'block graphic' tutorial is in the 'creating a world' link in my signature. I should have included it in the installation as I did with some of the others that I ported to kingdoms - it should address the issue you are having.
This worked. I dld'd and installed your block graphic fix and now the battles work as they should. Thank you so much
