    Question 1:
    If I have TAR 2.0 Beta (with the 2019 Update) installed, are there any reasons to get this TAR v3?

    Answer 1

    Yes!
    Absolutely!
    TAR v3 has a LOT more in it and is a complete overhaul from the v2.0 Beta.
    New Units, New Graphics, New Features and New Options plus TAR v3 is a lot more stable.

    Question 2:
    Do I need to Uninstall TAR v2.0 Beta before installing TAR v3?

    Answer 2

    Yes! Absolutely!
    TAR v3 in not an upgrade to v2.0. It is a *Replacement* to the v2.0 Beta.
    TAR v3 has a completely different file structure so the v2.0 Beta
    really needs to be uninstalled before installing TAR v3 or it will just cause trouble.

    Question 3:
    Will TAR v3 work with any other Total War Mod Managers?

    Answer 3

    No! Absolutely Not!
    The TAR v3 Launcher is a dedicated mod manager itself,
    so trying to use another mod manager with TAR is a very, very, VERY Bad Idea!

    Question 4:
    If I’m already playing a campaign with the v2.0 Beta, will my saved game work with TAR v3?

    Answer 4

    No, probably not.

    If you are already playing a campaign in the v2.0 Beta then you may want to wait and
    finish your current campaign before uninstalling the v2.0 Beta to install TAR v3.

    Question 5:
    Do I need to uninstall any other Empire mods I have before installing TAR v3?

    Answer 5

    No.
    You do not have to uninstall other mods.
    TAR v3 will not be impeded by the other mods.
    Also, when you start the TAR v3 Launcher, it will temporarily remove any mods
    (pack files) from
    the ETW data folder and place them in a storage location.
    Once you are done playing and close the TAR Launcher,
    the removed mods will be placed back into the data folder.

    Question 6:
    If I want to play other mods, will I need to uninstall TAR v3 to do so?

    Answer 6

    No! Absolutely not!
    When the TAR Launcher is closed, all the TAR related mod files are removed and
    placed in storage as not to interfere with other mods or the vanilla game.

    Question 7:
    You said that TAR v3 removes other mods when starting the Launcher. Is there a way to add other mods to use with TAR v3?

    Answer 7

    Yes! You can add more mods.
    However, there is a certain way you have do it.
    We will be publishing a guide on how to mod TAR v3 at a later time.

    I’d also like to mention that TAR v3 is a huge mod covering a lot of the game’s aspects.
    Most mods out there may not work well with TAR due to this fact.
    You will need to vet (test) any mods you are wanting to add to make sure that they are
    indeed compatible.
    Also keep in mind that the TAR units are based on DarthMod specs so
    if you are looking to add units, they will need to be of a version made for DarthMod.
    Even then, you will need to tweak them further to get the personnel
    numbers in line with TAR's other units.

    Is The American Revolution Mod only good for playing American orientated campaigns?

    Answer 8

    No! Absolutely not!
    The American Revolution Mod is a great mod for playing the original Empire Total War
    Campaigns including Warpath.
    While the main focus of T.A.R. is of course the American Revolutionary War,
    there are still a huge amount of units added for many of the other factions across the Empire World.
    In the T.A.R. 1783 campaign, many minor nations are unlocked and playable.
    Plus don't forget, all those Selectable Options!
    T.A.R. is fine mod all around for playing Empire: Total War!

    I am eagerly anticipating release, thank you for you efforts.
    I have asked this question, so forgive me for repetition. But to use Great Britain as an example. Will there be various named regiments recruitable in England, Scotland and Ireland as there are in the Americas? Other than just "generic line infantry"? Thank you for your time.

    Honestly, I'd have to check, I not the unit designer and mostly testing state side.

    EDIT: I've done some quick checking (British example) and there are at least 7 TAR british units recruitable outside of the Americas. At least one is Scotland, two others are england and the other four are global.

    That's a fair answer and I shall find out soon enough. I do have another question, though I think it might be a hard coded game mechanic. I repeatedly allow colonies to revolt but they don't joint continentals, will that change?

    Hmmm, yeah, I think that's hardcoded, those random rebels are kind of generic too. I think of them as the "cockroaches" of TW, lol.

    Maybe a scripting guru might figure something out but alas we don't have one on the team. Would be cool tho...

    Is this the thread for technical support? I made a thread in the sub-forum, but the thread seems to have disappeared after I've posted it. The game crashes on loading screens when I try to get into a campaign or a custom battle.
