Default CPU and GPU Choices for 1080p 60 hz set up

I will be building a new rig within the next year and to my surprise I'm having to consider AMD this time around. I am using this opportunity to look at a much more value based rig. Since I only plant on using 1080p and 60 hz I don't need anything too crazy. Here are the components I'm looking at.

    AMD Rysen 5 2600 ~$150
    Intel i5 9400F ~$150

    AMD Radeon 580 8gb ~$170
    nVidia GTX 1060 3gb ~$170

I was wondering what yall would pick out of that specific availability.

RX 580 looks a bit better incidentally

Better gaming scores and the 8gb vram is definitely a bit safer than the 1060s 3gb, if you're gaming with especially large textures.

You might want to wait a bit longer until the newest ryzen processors come out.

Well I will be waiting until the ryzen 3000 series comes out now that i know its only a couple of weeks away. Ultimately, though, I just want to make sure i'm not over buying on some aspect that isn't really helpful for a 1080p 60 hz set up.

I'm using Ryzen 5 2600 and RX 580 8GB right now and I have to say it's pretty much playable at high/ultra on many games at 1080p 60MHz.

But Ryzen 3xxx is coming soon and the leak bennchmark mentioned that the 2600 replacement, which is 3600 beats Ryzen 2700X and i7 8700K.

    Looks pretty good so far.

For graphics, you could consider a (second hand) GTX 1060 6GB, which will also be a bit more futureproof, like the Radeon 580. I got myself a quite decent used one myself recently without having to brake the bank.

Ok thats what I was thinking. I'm actually using a i5 7500 and a 1060 6gb right now and it looks like maybe the cpu is bottlenecking (maybe?) but the gpu is still plenty futureproof for what i am doing. it looks like a ryzen 3600 with their cheaper boards might be the way to go over a 9400F since you can get mobos for about $30 less.
