Small & Medium Award for Modders - Medals Competition
Esteemed fellow TWCenterers,
it's with great pleasure that we announce the opening of the Small & Medium Award for Modders - Medals Competition!
A bit of background: about 3 months ago, z3n opened up a discussion in the Curia about creating one small and one medium award for modders, to couple with the Opifex and Artifex awards we already have and in order to expand the opportunities to reward our beloved modders.
However, below you can find the reasoning for both of them
Medium Award - "Modding Service Award"
To qualify for the Modding Service Award, the nominee must have participated within a workshop section with distinction over the span of 6 months or released a hosted modification.
Small Award - "Legio 501st Modder"
Awarded by the Curia for one or more of the following: creating a detailed and original tutorial containing relevant media (screenshots, video, code snippets), releasing a minor mod involving at minimum a single modding section (units, scripting, mapping, animations, sounds, media) of work estimated to have taken more than 5 hours or a remarkable act that benefits TWC modding community.
To qualify for a higher level of the award, the nominee must have participated within a workshop section with distinction over the span of 6 months or released a hosted modification.
So basically, the Modding Service Award needs only one medal, while the Legio 501st Modder needs a 3 tiered medal.
THE RULES
- Every submission must have the complete set of 4 medals (1 for the Modding Service Award and 3, tiered, for the Legio 501st Modder); the medal for the medium award must not be bigger than 40x40 pixels (small rendering) and 75x100 pixels (large rendering); the medals for the small award must not be larger than 27x35 pixels (small rendering) and 75x100 pixels (large rendering) size, so 8 images in total are to be submitted
- The submitted images must be in PNG format
- As for the tiered medals, feel free to propose your variation, but please consider that it's customary at TWC to use the metal progression (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- The medals should hint or refer to the Modding activity and they can take inspiration from other similar awards (like the Opifex); as usual, let your fantasy run wild!
SUBMISSION PERIOD
the submissions will close June the 7th ; after that the submission period will be over we will take care of putting up the voting poll, so that the membership can vote for their preferred choice.
PRIZES
- Every submitter will receive 15 rep points as a reward for their efforts and work
- The winning submission will receive extra 50 rep points once the Competition will be over
Final notice
This thread is for submissions exclusively, posts not related to that will be deleted.
