"No problem can withstand the assault of sustained Dufferism"
I better thing to watch would be the film Red Cliff. Interestingly, the appearance of the generals in this game look like they have copied the appearance of the actors from this film.
I watched and downloaded all 95 episodes when I was doing my 3K mod for M2TW back in 2012-14. We used some of the scenes for in game movies and for loading screens if memory serves. Gotta love an epic drama like that
The best Cao Cao ever portrayed.
「戦場廻り、運命決まり、生死しらない」
thx. Is there a really good movie based on the 3 Kingdoms?
The TV series is really good. Having played Dynasty Warriors and read the novel, it's great to go through the series where the characters are developed in more detail than in a film like Red Cliff. As others have said I think Cao Cao is portrayed really well, as are most characters. The battle scenes are insane as well.
You'll learn chinese as well... especially if you've the inclination to watch the opening for 90 odd episodes xD
Easily one of my all-time favorite TV shows.
I mean, just watch this scene:

"What is the most cowardly and shameful thing in human conduct? It's when people with power, and those who flatter them, hide in safe places and extol war--people who force patriotism and self-sacrifice on others, sending them to the battlefield to die. For the sake of peace in the universe, before we continue this fruitless war... mustn't we first start by exterminating such evil parasites?"

Where can I watch the whole episodes? The ones on Youtube have some episodes when I'm unable to access like Ep 6.
Episode 6, Three parts, blocked in some countries:

It's from a playlist (Episodes 1-66) from this guy. Remaining playlist (67-95) is on his user page as well.
This is a great series, up to episode 10. I will never play as any Yuan faction, I love tea, I'm buying a tea set to drink with my diaochan waifu.
I hate that yang guy, dong zhou, his sniveling eunuch guy that crawls up his ass, I can't wait for him to die.
Ive started to watch this having read the books and its fantastic, Cao Cao actor is brilliant...im watching on a site called KissAsian, good quality, subtitled ofc.
Oh JESUS, FFS!! SPOILER ALERT! I'm not familiar with either the time period or the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novels and I'm following this series since yesterday and now you've kind of ruined it for me...
You now owe me alcohol for the next 10 years in order to give me brain damage and make me forget what you've just posted...

Globalization: making someone else's problem your problem
THanks for the tip, it's a nice show. Frankly, I didn't expect that when I started watching it. And there are some hilarious scenes too. But 95 episodes...
" Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room! "

I have this series on DVD, my in-laws bought it for me when they went back to china to visit family, I had mentioned I love the Three Kingdoms period to them.
I haven't finished watching it all, but it's pretty great and the casting is spot on.
