Cannot get the unit range to change?

So I'm replaying for fun, with the frankenciv mod installed. I did so with my home PC, and no issues. But I uploaded a cloud save to my laptop, and for some reason (same mods, using steam) I CANNOT get the matchlock range to change to 150. Save game or custom battle. I've tried the same range mod, the matchlock range change mod, then I got frustrated and edited the actual data file with the pack file editor. (the proj. table). I removed all mods that could be effecting it, and nothing. Frankenciv mod works, but nothing I"ve done can seem to adjust the matchlock range. What else can I do? I mean, if I edited the main data file why wouldn't it work? (and yes it saved, I verified by closing and reopening, and I had taken it off "ca files are read-only"

Nevermind. Found out by looking through that another mod (a research one of all things) had the proj. table included. Had to edit it there.
