Hmm, happened again, on descr_names again and with your files, I'll pm you an email for you to send me a working folder. Perhaps it randomly chooses whether to work or not?

I wanted to wait to play the 1.0 version before I downloaded this mod after enjoying TVB. Will be downloading after I finally mop up the Americas in my venice campaign!
I couldn't find it mentioned but does this add special location buildings like Jewish diaspora or Damascus steel building in Damascus and stuff like that?

nope, Bananas is as vanilla as it gets. No fancy buildings or such things. Just a meshed together Grand Campaign and Kingdoms mod

The names_lookup is unused and not neccessary. Sorry that I did not come around yesterday to send something to you, but I will assemble a small patch for you today in hope it works

The system log indicated that was a file that was missing. Just for the heck of it, I copied the descr_names_lookup file from the mod Deus Lo Vult 6.2 into your mods data folder and it started right up. I've been playing a campaign with chichimeca without issues. If I take that file out, the game will crash at start up. It's an interesting mod and I think I'll be playing it for hours. It may eventually crash because the file is from another mod but for right now, it's working for me.

Oh, thats good.
Thanks for correcting me. I think it may be the case, that the game is looking for the lookup file if it is there (as it is definitively not used when editing names) and having it in the base installation does not work for some reason. So you should be save from a crash, but I will include a lookup file in then next patch, to prevent others from running into this issue

That lookup files it allows me to start but not start a campaign, though for now I can play my test campaign.
I saw your email, Zumi... all those troubleshooting instructions kinda overwhelmed me.

It's been working wonderfully, I'll inform you if it runs in to another error when I start the game up again or start a new campaign. I'm currently destroying the Mayans as Espana.
I had an suggestion - I wonder if after a certain amount of European settlements are taken by American factions if their units could get upgraded to be on par with european grade units. As if they are appropriating the European technology but keeping their own culture, like what the Apache do but for Mesoamericans. Cause it wouldn't make sense for Aztecs to still be behind in technology if they own half the world.

I wasn't suggesting new units, I had thought making new assets would be a pain. You could do upgrades like they do with the leather tanner or improved armour. You could make a buff that reaches them at that point.

Playing for the first time and loving it so far! Is there any way I can get to Europe and the various islands as the Apache? Do they have boats?
