Icon5 Is charge bonus additive or multiplicative?

I would like to know. If it is additive, big numbers in the charge bonus stat for stat_pri would make sense for balancing. It would be similar to how the later TW games apply charge bonus. If its multiplicative, small numbers (which we use now), make sense for balancing.

If it is additive, the attack on the charge is 15. If multiplicative, however, the attack is 54. This has great implications for balancing units. It's rather noting that much like the attack factor in stat_pri is likely a maximum between 0 and the specified int, charge bonus could be the same way. This could explain why not all charges are deadly, even if the charge was executed successfully.

Additive, as far as I'm aware. In EBII we use values of 15, 21 or 28 for lances, depending on whether one- or two-handed.

I thought always that it was multiplicative; I mainly used small numbers for my balance mods. I guess this has testing to back it up, or just makes more sense for it to be additive on the part of CA?

Set it to 0 and try charging. If it is multiplicative then there should be no casualties.

I recently changed the charge values for Unreal Total War: Medieval II (a total rebalancing mod). Most of the charges are better, especially for heavy cav. If it was multiplicative, I would not need to have changed the values, as they would be sufficient for when I originally designed it. So it's additive. Thanks for the help!

Edit: Yeah it's definitely additive. Modified Peasants to have no charge at all, and they still deal casualties.
