Server Updates

Images in the 1st days of TWC reforming were posible to posted if the user manualy wrote [img] [/img]. Now even that isn't working and all older and curent pictures are lines of text.
The only way to post a picture is simly post its link.

IMG tag is a part of BB codes which will work properly once all vB updates are installed.

Good news I'm working with an updated code base and all the issues mentioned in this thread are fixed, as far as I can see. Bad news there's also a database update component that needs to be completed before I can bring the full set of changes live and I can't get to that until later today as I'm in meetings for the next several hours.

I tried to get the vb upgrade done and it didn't work, so I backed the changes out. If GED can't get it to work I'll try again tomorrow after seeing if I can figure out what I messed up.

Just to throw it out there I have 90% of the setup done for SSL. The other 10% is a bit of work as I have to check every single image posted in img tags on the site and either grab it through a proxy or rewrite every entry in the database to point to https for whatever site it was pulled from or we will have a mixed site. Some of the content will be ssl enabled, and some not. Chrome doesn't like that and will still say the site is "insecure" if content is mixed.

That one actually surprises me, but its a good surprise. I thought the server was still loading the wrong version of imagemagick which is what controls that.

I imagine this is because of what Squid posted here - the vb upgrade didn't work. Squid and GED are working on it, though, and the upgrade will be done as soon as possible.

If by edit you're referring to the page continously loading, you can safely click away, the changes will still be saved, in my case at least

Well its been a day for problems.

1. Comcast had a fiber optic cut today that took us down for about 7 hours.
2. Sometime in the middle of that, the php-fpm service decided to change how it loaded. It was loading the wrong config file. Not sure if an update last night caused that or not.
3. The wiki user is broken again. Not sure what is going on there yet either.
4. A backup process ran out of control and filled the drive partition the site resides on.

I am clearing up some space now. The only good news is that when I fixed the php processes (for the nth time this week) I dug a bit deeper into it and got it optimized a bit better. Seems to be running fairly well, if we can only get a handle on the vBulletin updates and the issues Squid had with it. I haven't talked to him much today, we both had meetings all day.

This is consistent with running the old version of vbulletin. We are in the process of upgrading vbulletin to deal with these, and related, issues caused by the OS upgrade, which was long overdue.
