    Default Enabling siege towers arrow and ballista fire

    Hi,

    i wondered if it is possible to enable siege towers to have arrow/ ballista attacks like in Rome 1.

    I compared it to the entries in Rome and found, that the descr_engines has still the entries


    attack_stat 8, 2, arrow, 100, 100, missile, missile_mechanical, piercing
    attack_stat_attr ap

    arrow_generator 2 21.8 3.3
    aim_dir 0.0 0.0 1.0
    aim_arc 1.0
    fire_interval 1.5

    arrow_generator 1 21.8 3.3
    aim_dir 0.0 0.0 1.0
    aim_arc 1.0
    fire_interval 1.5

    arrow_generator 0 21.8 3.3
    aim_dir 0.0 0.0 1.0
    aim_arc 1.0
    fire_interval 1.5

    arrow_generator -1 21.8 3.3
    aim_dir 0.0 0.0 1.0

    and the descr_projektile has the entry "projectile arrow"

    which i put in here, like in the Rome one

    pathfinding_data siege_engines/siege_tower_small.modelTraversableNetwork
    surface_occupants 20
    but all i got starting a custom battle was a ctd with no error message.

    I would appreciate if someone could help me implementing this, and tell me what i am missing or if it is even possible in the first place.

    I reckon the tower projectiles went the way of the sap points - it's all still there but the game doesn't recognize it any more.

    Looking at the canons and stuff in descr_engines you may want to give the missile_pos entry (under engine_health) a try.

    I will try a bit more.

    But as I stumbled, after I posted, by accident on another thread where some poor soul tried to do the same to no avail. I think this is not possible to implement...
