Thread: Why do armies line up off-center?

Default Why do armies line up off-center?

I've noticed that the enemy force often lines up off-center to their right (my left) with cavalry clustered on their left (my right). Is there a reason for this?

EDIT: Also, why do units change their formation to almost a column when you double click to attack someone from a distance?

Oh wow, I'm always annoyed by this but didn't realize it was because of double instead of single clicking to attack. I'll have to remember not to be so zealous with the mouse if this feature isn't removed. It's a really unfortunate one, because attacking like a narrow column makes no sense for cavalry charges to say the least. It totally limits the impact.
