Default Looking for Medieval TW music mod

    Hello there,
does a mod or submod exist which includes the Medieval (1) TW soundtrack and can be applied to Medieval 2 (descr_sounds_music.txt and sounds\music\.mp3 files)?

EDIT: I ended up making my own: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...7#post15752177

I am not aware that such a sub mod exists, but if you have the original sound tracks then you shouldn't have a problem to create it yourself, there are a number of tutorials here that are dedicated to sound issues.

Yes, I basically know how it works, but I'm unsure about whether it's worth the effort or not. The overall variety of Medieval's soundtrack is much smaller than Medieval 2's. Who would even be interested in it?

I am never bothered about that when I make my mods - I do it for my own satisfaction.

If you look closer you will see that you can actually increase the variety of music in M2TW, multiple entries increase the chance of hearing a different piece the next time you come across the same trigger for it. So why not add Med1 music instead of replacing Med2's?

So I could just copy-paste the triggers into a new entry and fill in the track names?

I don't think you can add new triggers (only possible in\via the campaign script afaik), but you certainly can add new track entries. If there are multiple tracks available the choice is done via random selection, eg that's why you get different responses when clicking several times on the same character.

Nice job - you did however forget to mention that the CFG file in the main directory needs to be made read-only, not required for mod foldered CFG file. The original file (main directory) gets modified every time when you exit the game (to save changes in options if you did so, not only when needed) and that removes custom entries like yours.

Tip: copy the download link into the opening post - newcomers will want to go right for it instead of browsing through the thread.
