Default A plague on your house

Playing as Massalia, took Genua from the Insubres and have gotten the plague four times in a row, consecutively with no break, despite there being only a 1% chance of an outbreak. None of the buildings have a squalor or sanitation risk noted. I've converted all but one building by now anyway, but the plagues persist. Didn't see this in known bugs.

    What is going on?

Same thing with Parthia. It's artificial limitation that gets Your most victorious army decimated every once in a while AFAIK.

it's just random and luck dependable.
sometimes you won't have it, sometimes 4 times in a row, there is no way to avoid randomness, only by erasing the entire plaugue system.

I've tweaked the values, both for PO and attrition for Testudo, if you need it I can do a custom pack.

a custom pack as a submod would be great jake! but i like the randomness of plauge breaking to be honest. The ancient world wasnt exactly known for its heigine.

If you get it and you find it to be absolutely ridiculous or game breaking, just reload your autosave and end your turn again. It will reroll your chances of infection and it will pass.

    I feel your pain.

Here (these are the values I've put inside testudo, I had to do this 'cause testudo is already hard itself, DeI's values for plagues were too high to bear).
Didn't change turn duration inside this pack, I did for testudo only, to set it up for 12 tpy.
    - halved maluses for PO and morale
    - halved attrition
    - decreased infectivity variables (plaugue's propagation after plague is active)

compatible with anything, load it before DeI

Another solution to make sanitation easier, is making temples to provide province-wide sanitation. Note that this is not a suggestion for the mod, but just something to make a personal playthrough easier.

    This looks great Jake!

I wouldn't want to do away with plagues or nerf them too much either, just don't understand how the mouse-over shows a 1% chance and I get it 4x. Something borked.

Reload save is an option for me, and i'd certainly "cheat" like that if I had something at 1% that happened 4x in a row. But anyone without an SSD can't do that, so a little more tweaking sounds best.
