Time for an update gents, points have been counted up to December the 18th, 2020!

Let me congratulate with Kilo11, Morticia Iunia Bruti and Derc for reaching respectively 36, 36 and 33 points and earning themselves one TGC Silver medal! This I also remembered to give them the 10 reps due with the medal, you see medicines are starting to do effect, yessssss!

Last thing: I've edited out all the links in the post#2 Leaderboard, because they were really slowing down the editing, and replaced all of them with a "prior to 06/05: xxx"; I kept a copy of the original post just in case.

Also, thanks to Kilo11 and King Athelstan for the point counting! I've already repped them but if people would show them some love for their work, I'm sure they'll appreciate!

Big update this time! Last two months have seen a lot of activity on the TGC games, and we have many new medals and rep rewards to give out

Akar - Eye of Knowledge and 50 reps

Ishan - Silver and 10 reps

I've something I want to discuss with you

- One person posts a picture/question/riddle with any details the poster feels are necessary.
- Everyone else tries to guess the picture/question posted or solve the riddle, whilst providing some details about their guess.
- The person who guessed correctly then posts their own picture/question/riddle within 24 hours.
- It is customary, though not an obligation, that the person who guessed correctly gets reputation from the original poster of the picture/question/riddle (or from another player/Gaming Staff if the OP cannot).
- Anybody can take the turn if a picture/question/riddle isn't posted within 24 hours or if the person who guessed the last picture/question/riddle says that anybody can take his turn.
- People are supposed to play fairly and to respect the other players and to do their best to ensure that the game keeps flowing. Blatant cheating, lack of respect, lack of input and so on and on might lead to the disqualification of the offending player for that round, this at the exclusive discretion of other players and/or Gaming Staff

I'd like to make two additions to them (with comments):

- A new hint is to be posted every 24 hours, if no one gets the right answer or no answers are posted within that time (self explanatory I think)
- If a picture/question/riddle has been up for a full week and no one was able to get it right, the answer has to be revealed and the turn passed (sometimes what is obvious for us is totally obscure for others.. the show must go on, so in similar cases better to drop it and move forward)

Comments? Ideas? Anything I missed to consider?

Please keep in mind that while those are "rules" it's not that we are going to apply them so strictly (we are all spending our free time here) and in any case there are no penalties coming.. though of course we still need a set of them to keep a minimum of order and avoid anarchy

Agreed. I would like to add something about the cheating part somehow. Something like "Anyone who cheats in a friendly competition like this should engage in some serious self-reflection. How small does a person have to be to enjoy a feeling of achievement for winning something they did not even compete for? Would you also like to take a boxing match against a child and bask in the glory of having pummeled down a defenseless kid?"

I guess you are not going to add that, but I had to get it off my chest.
