    Default horses with broken legs

    I've tried to import the horses wo WOW-Total war into my own "MATURUS" mod.

    I found this tutorial but when I get to the part with the animations the game crashes

    I have horses with broken legs...

    if I put it like in the tutorial the game crashes when I want to start a custom battle and I try to select a hobilar.

    Where is the problem?

    Must I add the animations to the "animations" folder? If yes, which ones?

    fs_horse is a vanilla animation, mount_pony is a vanilla mount - no problem there.

    When does the game crash? Right at the start? That's a formatting error in modeldb, line count number wrong most likely.

    At the moment I got this and I can start the game. The textures of the horses are right but the horses have "broken legs". I've two folders in my animations path: engine (which was already there) and I copied the folder: fs_horse_marka with 73 elements (.cas & .ect).

    I think that the problem is located in the last lines... But I don't know how to fix it...

    Unless you implement the marka horse animations fully (entries in descr_skeletons and generate new IDX\DAT files) they will not do anything. Which means you are using the default animations, which in turn means that something might be wrong with the models you imported, they might not have been rigged properly. It will also help if you could provide a screen shot of those horses.

    If you are using the default animations then the model isn't rigged properly. Hop over to the 3D workshop - paleolegos is pretty good with that.

    1st: Did you read the tutorial carefully?
    2nd: Does your mod includes MARKA horses animations and does your mod includes MARKA horses in the descr_mount.txt ?
    Because IF you had READ the tutorial carefully you should know that in the end the animation entry in bmdb MUST CHANGE IN TO THE FOLLOWING!

    In your bmdb you "order" the game to use the default vanilla animations that cause the proken legs effect.
    You should ALSO press all the links in that tutorial because such an example is INCLUDED.
    Otherwise the horses will look strange with broken legs.
    I must remind you to use MEDIUM_HORSE_MARKA normal map body textures in order to have their muscles and vains and eyes properly shown.

    That way even total black stalions will show thei body details.


    Another cause of CTD is your entry in the 1st place:

    24 are the factions that follow and the mount_pony is available (in your case 29).
    The numbers i pointed out in your example cause CTD .They are wrong as a model entry anyway.
    NOTTICE THAT AFTER the "10 mount_pony" NOTHING follows.
    The number 3 shows how many lods the model will have.
    You can have this entry:

    Unless you created two more lods of the model. Otherwise game engine tries to find lod1 and lod2 but can not find them and cause a CTD.
    After the number of factions you have you will put the model and its texture entries.

    In Marka horses i became the expert because MARKA horses had some bugs and I fixed them all.

    TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
    Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

    IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
    Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

    Check the numbers with on the top of bmdb 1st.
    Deleted because of mistake.
    When game does not load its 90% a bmdb entry error.
    When a model apears silver or does not apear (invisible) at all its a bmdb textures entry and 10% an EDU (Export_describe_Units.txt ) entry problem.
    When you select a unit and have a ctd its 100% EDU entry problem.

    I would advice you then to replace your mod's animation folder with the one of the mod you borrowed the horses too.

    Then the best he can do is to copy the animations folder of the War of the West mod after deleting his own.
    ALSO replace his mod's descr_skeleton.txt with the War of the West mod's one that includes Marka horses animation/skeleton entries.
    It seams that game DOES NOT FIND the animation in his mod animation pack.
    He missed no1 of requirements that needed to have these horses work in my tutorial.

    I believe TATW has the original marka horse animation files in it's data\animation folder - that should help to rebuild the animations with the marka descr_skeleton entries.

    Are some of the mods that have all that he needs to import his horses.
    Personally i would prefer Rusichi because it has a unique one handed axe animation too!
    If he simply delete and replace

    Great...now follow the intructions carefully:
    Have you renamed the mount_medium_horse_Marka_lod0 to mount_pony_lod0 ?
    Have you renamed the textures of that mount or the textures that mod "the war of the west" gave to that mount as medium_horse_[faction name].texture and the normal texture as well?
    Is there any chance that you increased the serialisation number on top of your bmdb?
    Because replacing models into an existing entry DOES NOT require increase of that number.
    I am sorry i do not have any other answers.
