Generals like units must have the "slave" entry in battlemdb.txt
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

    It's inside [...]\Medieval II Total War\mods\SicilianVespers\data\unit_models
What rebel subfaction is this? Is it a normal captain? What year in the campaign?

    Thank you for your reply,
Playing early campaign as Sicily. Rebel Siqilli Faris was siege of Syracusa. Rebel Italian Spear Militia was siege of Malta ( I think). In the first case it was the whole unit, in second just the captain model not the rest of the unit. I think all Rebel generals encountered so far have been like this.

Actually, they're just as broken on my installation. I'll think about a solution when I have time for it. The textures for the cav unit should be available in the Darkage era, maybe I'll try copying the entries from there, but I have no clue which textures the captain is supposed to use.

I found another one in the Middle East last night, this time my own hosp spearman.
its a shame as it’s such a visually stunning mod in general.

Sorry, but I don't know how to fix this issue and the methods I tried didn't work altogether. You'll need to ask around somewhere else or leave it as it is.

I'd give them the same BMDB entries as those of units that have no such issues.

Here is the path how to trace it:

    open data\descr_character.txt
depending on whether it was a full general or a captain scroll to the named character or general section respectively
find the entry for the slave faction
copy the name of the battle model entry
make a backup copy of data\unit_models\battle_models.modeldb and then open it with Notepad
paste the battle model entry into the search window and find the entry. Tip: it will be easier to find if you add the character count number in front of the model name, example: 16 Northern_Captain
At the start of the first faction section increase the lonely number by one. Scroll down to the end of the first faction section and copy the last faction's entry underneath it, change the faction name to slave and change the preceding number to 6
Repeat with the second faction section.
    Save.
Cross fingers you didn't make a mistake and start the game.

I think this forum would have been abandoned a long time ago without Gigantus.
