    Default Garrison problems

After watching a bunch of let's play I noticed a lot of problems which is normal since its a BETA but the worst offender and easiest to quick fix is the garrison. You can take Paris in 4 turn playing the English .... cities and especially capitals should get garrison buff I believe. 20 stack garrison at lv 1 to limit steamrolling and then upgrading the city main chain could upgrade the quality of the troops.

Its about gameplay mate no point putting so much effort in all those units if you wont fight any. Take DEI as example the game is pretty static and each nations manage to defend his capital with at least one full stack all the time.

I kind of agree with you. Historically garrisons were relatively small but they relied on the defensive capabilities of the settlement. With Attila you cannot have any particular defensive aspects other than the walls themselves, the arrow towers , boiling oil and occasionally a catapult or two on the walls. A large garrison army plus a long recruitment time for battering rams and ladders etc would make sure that expansion on the campaign map is a grind. If you take half the map with T1 units, you'll get bored before even getting to see T2 or T3 units

Yes the garrisons are too small, i mean pixelated appolo took constantinople with nicea with only minor opposition. The game seems way to easy and should go for a DEI path where each faction guards cities unless they go for an attack on you.
Remember that when you attack a city you are taking an entire province so it makes sense for it to be hard because you’re not just capturing the city.
example by taking split in dalmatia you take all the cities that are realisticaly in dalmatia like zadar, rijeka, ragusa, kotor...
