Talking about overall aesthetics of the roster, not particular units. But if you have a unit in mind you specially like feel free to mention it. Screenshots are welcome!

Late Roman Units are ing gangster.
I gotta say the Mauryan units although not being that many, are really a breath of fresh air.... very interesting adding that faction, I have been meaning to play a campaign with them.
Ι wasn't into them, at least not until recently, but Armenians are looking sweet. But my all time classic love is still Carthage, with multi AOR and Merc units
I've never played with barbarians but I would like to have a naked only army sooner or later and then go randomly around the map to get sunbathes.
But i do fear you can't script a tan texture change.
After the new update, Armenia. The imitation Legionaries look incredible, with their new helmets, standards and officers. The Nakharar units are just badass. Even if I'm fighting against them, I almost feel bad killing such cool looking units. The only problem is that you have to wait until the reforms hit to recruit them.
Besides Armenia, I think the Arverni are my next favorite. The few professional units you can recruit are able to form shield walls and fight in phalanxes. It's incredible, seeing these "barbarians" fighting in disciplined formation.
The Getae look very serious. They are not playing around.
Selucids. Greek > all and they are the prettiest of the greeks.
Pontus also has a very cool roster. I showcased them a bit in post #2035 in the screenshots thread:

They have a very diverse roster, spanning MANY ethnicities, not dissimilar from the Eastern successors. They also have some nice AOR units, including a shieldless pike unit that is pretty unique.
I recommend playing an imperator augustus campaign with Armenia as it speeds up your access to their top tier units. Makes them a lot more fun.
Baktria is lovely too.
Definitely questionable in their overall usefulness, but Spartan Hoplites just have a certain j'n'c'est qoui
EDIT: Accidently posted the wrong thing in the wrong thread...
Discounting Rome, Carthage and the Hellenics... I'd go with the Medewi or Thracians for coolest looking rosters!

I could only say what I don't like because I love so many factions I couldn't choose.
Rome obviously, Baktria, the Seleukids, Carthage with it's mercs and aux's and my own custom Massalia roster :p.
Easily Rome #1.
Probably followed by Sparta then Armenia.
Seleucids! Silver shield pikemen are great, but what’s really cool is once you hit thorax reforms and you get silver shield swords and royal spear men (those guys are probably tied with Armenian Nakkharar for best looking single unit in the game). What I love most about the whole Seleucid roster though is it looks so professional, fits together, and yet contains so many different categories of units. These guys are soldiers in uniforms all marching in step. They and Rome are the only factions where I’ve really had that feel. But they look so different from the types of units you see in Roman armies, and they have so much more variation (OK, yes, Rome can build diverse armies, but really, why play as Rome if you aren’t going to have a core mainline of 10-12 legionnaires?).
Anyway, Seleucid wins it for me. Rome and Armenia (updated) probably tied for second.
*laugh and CRIED in Macedon*
