    Hey h.fast, me again.

    I was wondering if you could write a bit about what the future plans are for the mod? Really interested to hear. Is it still alive? Plans on work on the Balancing a bit? Stuff like that.

    As I wrote in the header of the thread - probably this version would be the last, I mean 1.3x.
    Now fix 1.32 is in work. In plans:


    • More bmdb mistakes fixes with textures and animations;
    • Some buildings and settlements fixes;
    • Icons for walachian rebels (and all other rebells too);
    • probably new strat.textures from mr. Charge;
    • probably new strat AI, may be one of PeterAI, Skynet or Beermugcarl;
    • probably adaptation of Germanicus 5.7 battle AI;
    • probably new strat labels (from kingdoms.exe, e.g. knud, subotai, heinrich...);
    • probably smth else appear


    After that the team will work on 16 century.
    Last points with "probably" were not planed and appeared after one youtube stream of mr.Sonar, and now they are on the agenda.
    Our 3d modeller is already working on 16 century units. That is the basic statement of the party's policy

    Anubis88, sorry, I can't promise you nothing coz I'm leaving the OiM2 team I'm here because of fixing 1.3x versions and I can't give it up on the way. But new content probably would be announced by messrs. komatozz911 or vadim1. If they will wish to

    This is the startup crash log I have been facing. The original 1.3 doesn't have the error but when I add the English translation, the error appears and I get an error after the opening video as: M2TW has encountered an unspecific error and will now exit.

    Have you installed the 1.31 fix? Your log is clear, I don't know what to say. May be you should reinstall mod, then translation, and then fix 1.31 again? And don't launch the mod before you install everything, includes translation. It have to work...

    No one knows. Our team is VERY sluggish. Fix is not vital so everything is testing and discussing. I think month, or more.

    We still don't know clearly what will be added in fix, so can't answer about save-compatibility. Most probably that it will be, but not sure of that.

    Will the next patch includes more units for each faction and cities? Also if there is a for to become part of this team or teams for any other mod let me know bc I would like part of this team and work as a historian?

    Nope, most probably not. As I wrote, 3d-modeller is working on 16th century stuff. And about cities - MTW2 engine accepts only 199 regions. We can do nothing.

    During last two weeks I spend more time with installing/reinstalling mod than on playing... Only clear russian version is working properly... Whats goin on???

    Default

    Hi! I've got a problem. I installed the mod and fix with the English translation, the only alteration I've made was translating the Imperial Campaign regions to Polish (I have deleted the .bin files). Everything (including the translated file) worked perfectly until I clicked End Turn, when it crashed with an unknown error. Is it possible you now the solution? Great mod, by the way I will try to translate it fully into Polish.

    1. Distance to capital is TOO SMALL for that kind of map. Very medieval, but completely anachronistic in XVII. Please change <factor name="SOF_DISTANCE_TO_CAPITAL">
    <pip_modifier value="1.0" /> to 0.25 or LESS.
    2. Mining, trade buildings bring too little income, armies cost too much. It's not sensible to ALWAYS start campaign from disbanding most armed forces.
    3. Most of infantry should have free garrison feature enabled. The costly thing was field campaign, not keeping troops in garrisons.
    4. I dislike those Russian names of Polish cities/ persons / units.

    That's your vision. Team's vision is different: no reason to make the gameplay easier for player. Player have to struggle, not to dominate. For example AI-players are not able to use garrison ability in right way, so it's just a little kind of cheat for humans. We can't to please every player - people are different and everybody preffers his own vision of "good mod". Nothing personal.

    You know - me too: I dislike ukrainian names on russian very much (coz I'm from Ukraine and you know about political situation between UA and RU.). But mod was developed on russian version of MTW2 so it was logicaly to use the russian version of names in russian interface and localization. We have to tolerate it. Or we are able to make some changes for personal use It's not so hard.

    Patch-fix 1.32. A little bit patch, a little bit fix, coz we've added a dose of new content in addition to the fixes.
    What's new:

    1. Battle interfaces for all cultures.
    2. Return of old strategic interfaces for five cultures that were lost by mistake in earlier versions.
    3. New strat AI PiterAI by mr. Piterx93.
    4. New battle formation for AI that is actual to the mod epoch.
    5. New battle formations for human-player that are actual to the mod epoch, and could be chosen at the beginning of the battle.
    6. New stratmap textures MapMod: Trees, Textures, Sea v1.7 by mr. Charge.
    7. New water textures BETTER WATER 2 by mr. DAVIDE.
    8. New settings of assassins by mr. Sonar.
    9. Changes for Long Global Campaign - the construction time of buildings was doubled and farm effect was cut for more balanced playgame.
    10. Commander's traits become rarer for player.


    Fixes:

    • farms for Cossack culture.
    • animation for Walachian cavalry
    • animation for rokis-spa
    • textures for mercenary generals of Russia and Poland

    Installation:

    Move the content ("data" folder and cleaner.bat file) from archive to the root folder of the mod (...\mods\OiM2) with a replacement. Needs to start a new campaign! Beware: old campaigns (saves) would become corrupted with new files!
    The patch fix is cumulative and includes the fix 1.31, so it can be installed on a clean version 1.3 (old fix 1.31 is needless).
    It's NECESSARY to delete the old map.rwm files in all campaigns. It can be done manually, or you can use the batch file cleaner.bat that was added to the archive, and which would be available in the root folder of the mod after correct install of the patch-fix. Have a nice game!
    Errors and bugs can be reported in this topic, but it is preferable to confirm them by log-files and saves.

    Auto-battles with ships seem kind of broken in this mod. Regardless how strong your navy is you will mostly win a naval battle if you are the attacker. Please correct me if I am wrong but this seems not to work as intended.
    I am planning a big hotseat with many players, but most are scared of this naval battle problem...
