After some discussion on the discord server, we have narrowed down three possible scenarios for an rp setting this upcoming year. Between the three, we have a variety of options, one of which won't take much to revive, another that needs a rule rework and the last that still needs developing. Once we know which of the three is the most popular, necessary work will be done in the early months of 2019 and we will likely get everything set up within the same time frame.
The three options are:
A Reworked Game of Thrones
This setting will only be done if the rules are overhauled/reworked, the general and majority agreement among the community and Shed moderators. Thankfully, most of the work, after some discussions, would involve cutting and slashing rules off to be burned and we have a general idea of what to keep, what to add, and what needs to be reworked to make GoT fresh. We will be taking lessons from War of the Roses/My Kingdom for a Horse as well as previously proposed changes for GoT and suggestions from the community to make it all work and come together.
A Revived My Kingdom for a Horse
This setting can involve several choices, the most prominent being a continuation of our mid-2018 setting which would involve a timeskip. The scenario was known to be King vs an ambitious Crown Prince, so could lead to a divided house and a civil war after the First Crusade. Alternatives include Anarchy (1135 - 1153), the Baronial Wars (1215 - 1217, John I or 1264 - 1267, Henry III), and a return to Edward II or Richard II (couldn't remember which it was). This setting would take like to adjust and tweak if it is needed at all.
Politeia - A Classical Greece Setting
Politeia is an rp set during Classical Greece and was aimed to be around the colonization of Massalia. Although roleplay details were mostly touched upon and somewhat decided, there is still some work to be done about the rules before moving forward. I do not think we will be changing where the setting will be, but likely, with the revived effort, if this setting is chosen, rules may likely be adjusted from their original state as an improved version.
Thank you for your vote and patience!
