Question: Where are the Female warriors for Volga Bulgaria? One of the main reasons Volga Bulgaria was chosen to be playable faction was because of them giving a unique way of unit diversity. Also most of the names of the units are for nations that were vassals/allied to the Volga Bulgarians but there arent enough core Volga Bulgarian ones vs the other ones.I count it still WIP. Visually the unit roster is perfect for the faction.

They’re not in the roster, simply because i couldn’t find anything on them in any of the academic works and books i used for research. However, I would be more than happy to include them if you can provide me with reliable peer reviewed sources.

Ok, let’s do the math. In Tier 1, nine out of the sixteen units are bulgars. In Tier 2, twelve out of the seventeen units are bulgars. Finally, in Tier 3, twelve out of the seventeen units are bulgars. So i think there is more than enough bulgar representation (perhaps a little too much). Keep in mind that Volga and Kama were very diverse regions, and Bulgars were only an elite minority ruling over a tribal majority.

Great work! Thought I do find the facial models a bit curious. Was Volga Bulgaria ethnically a Turkic-Mongaloid state, or did they appear more Slavic like the Slavs to the West?

Excellent, would it be possible to use your shield textures for a Medieval 2 total war mod by chance. Thinking of making a Volga Bulgaria faction for my mod.

Hi, it'd be better to give the creator a personal message. So to receive a notification in his mail and probably get back to you quicker

Great roster! However I think you have made Mari and Mordvans with asiatic features which is not quite accurate since they resemble more Finnish, Baltic and Slavic peoples in outlook. The Mari and Mordvans were already present in the Russia and Siberia area before the slavic, turkic and mongolid demographic change.
