What`s the difference between the 2 client ruler options?

For most factions when you build a client state you get 2 options Bodyguard of the Aarchon or the Companion of the Ally.

What`s the difference between them as governors.?

And why after selecting one I get an option to build the other one in the next turn?

Either is compatible with the region you're in, they differ slightly in stats and are obviously different units.

It is assumed you won't be able to afford both - recruiting two is a bad idea since one will become an Imposter and cause unrest.
